National Institute of Design (NID) has again extended the last date of applying for NID 2022 admission for B.Des and M.Des courses. Earlier, the last date to apply for the same was today, December 06, 2021. However, now the same is extended by 3 days and now the last date is December 09, 2021, until 4 pm.
With this, the last application correction window of NID 2022 has also been changed. Now, the candidates can make corrections in their NID application forms from December 10 to 16, 2021. The application form correction window shall open from 4 pm in the evening. The admit card for the entrance test is going to be released on December 23, 2021, and the examination is scheduled for January 02, 2022.
Candidates who possess the basic eligibility and have not yet applied for B.Des and M.Des examination can fill the application form with the prescribed late fee available on the official website, admissions.nid.edu.

NID 2022 is an annual examination that is held to provide admission to eligible students in the B.Des (Bachelor’s of Design) and M.Des (Master’s of Design). The candidates upon clearing the NID 2021 can get admission in any of the 5 NID campuses if opting for B.Des. While those who are aspiring for M.Des shall be provided admission only in the 3 NID campuses located in the country.
The selection process for final admission to B.Des and M.Des has two levels, preliminary and mains exam. There is a separate exam pattern for both courses. The exam is held in the offline mode and questions are mostly MCQ, drawing-based. The NID 2021 preliminary examination for B.Des has 27 questions in total accounting for 100 marks from the subjects prescribed in the admission handout. NID 2021 M.Des exam has 17 questions for 50 marks asked from the courses that candidates have pursued in UG courses.
Those who successfully clear the NID 2022 examination will be asked to appear in the counseling round conducted by the concerned colleges. The final admission to the courses will be based on the candidate’s rank in the exam, seat availability, and college preference opted by them.
