National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM) Jaipur is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt of India. The institute hereby announces admission to its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) Agri Business Management (ABM) for 2020, the 20th batch.
Last date for receipt of filled in application form at CCS NIAM is February 29, 2020.
CCS NIAM has decided to accept the scores of national level tests CAT 2019 (Common Admission Test), and CMAT 2020 (Common Management Admission Test). While the former was held by IIMs, the latter is to be held by the National Testing Agency, NTA.
PGDM ABM is an AICTE approved course in the said institute. EXIM Bank merit Scholarship is available for meritorious students.
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture or allied sciences, or in any other discipline from any university or institute that is recognised by ICAR, and UGC can apply for NIAM admission 2020. Given that they have either a valid CAT 2019 score or CMAT 2020 score.
To apply, eligible aspirants need to download the application form from the website of the varsity, fill it and send it with a DD equal to the fee amount. Rs 1200 is the fee to apply for NIAM admissions. However for SC and ST candidates the required amount is Rs 600.
As per the short notification released recently, applications need to be sent to “Dean-PGDM (ABM), CCS NIAM, Kota Road, Bambala, Sanganer, Jaipur-302033”. It may also be noted that the DD should be drawn in favor of the Director General of CCS NIAM, Jaipur.
For selection, CAT/CMAT score will get 51/34 weightage. Diversity factor will count for 6 marks, group discussion for 12, personal interview for 26, and work experience for 5 marks. Those who get shortlisted on the basis of their CAT and CMAT scores and other factors will be called for group discussion and personal interview.
IIM Kozhikode recently conducted CAT on November 24, 2019. The test was held in two sessions, morning and evening. It was a computer based test of 3 hours, with questions from verbal ability and reading comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning, quantitative ability. Result of CAT exam will be out by second week of January 2020, at iimcat.ac.in.
NTA is going to conduct CMAT on January 28, 2020. The test will be held in a single shift, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. While applications for the exam are closed, admit card is yet to be released. Admit card of CMAT will be issued on December 24, 2019, at cmat.nta.nic.in.
