The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the NEET UG 2021 examination on September 12, 2021. So far, the agency has not released the official date for declaring the results. Once it does, the same will be available on neet.nta.nic.in. The examination is conducted every year for admitting students to the various undergraduate courses across the medical institutes in the country.
As per past year trends, the expected date of declaration of NEET UG 2021 result is between 12-15 October. However as per latest news reports, NTA is likely to declare the results on October 10, 2021.
As per the NEET UG 2021 information bulletin, NTA is going to evaluate the answer sheets using a standard procedure and then publish the results on its website. Thereafter, the score cards will be available for the students to download. This year, it is very likely that the results of NEET UG will be declared by the third week of October, 2021. In 2020, the NEET UG examination was held on September 13, 2020 while the results were declared on October 16, 2020. Mathematically, the results were announced 33 days after the examination was held. Similarly, in 2019, the examination was held on May 05, 2019 and the results were available on June 05, 2019, i.e. 31 days after the examination.
Likewise, in 2018, NEET UG was held on May 06, 2018 and the results were announced on June 04, 2018. This means that the results were declared 29 days after the entrance test was held. Based on the result declaration trends of the previous three years, this year, the NEET UG results are expected to be announced within 30 to 33 days from today. In that case, the results will be announced any day between October 12, 2021 to October 15, 2021.
While this analysis is based on the past three year trends of declaring the NEET UG results, the latest reports regarding the same have something similar to say. As per a report, the NTA is likely to announce the NEET UG 2021 results on October 10, 2021. However, no official notification testifying the same is available. Similarly, another report has also stated the same date for the declaration of results. This year, nearly 16 lakh students have appeared for the UG medical entrance examination.
To get admission into the desired medical college/institute, candidates will first have to qualify for the examination and then appear for the counselling session(s). The category-wise cut-offs vary every year. In the same way, the opening and closing ranks of the top institutes also vary every year. Expected cut-off marks are now available that students can look into for reference. However, they have to score 50 percentile in NEET UG 2021 to be qualified for the examination.
