The word ‘soon’ has been making the rounds in the NEET 2021 universe as the National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the results today, October 30, 2021, or tomorrow, October 31, 2021. This is based on students and parents calling up the NTA helpline number. Students were ardently waiting for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 results to come out yesterday, after the Supreme Court gave a go-ahead for result declaration. However, candidates were kept waiting without any update or clarification from the agency. Now, students are expecting today to be the golden day, relieving them of anticipation and stress. Here’s all they need to know.
A Twitter user named Arun Sharma (@chdarunsharma) posted an updated claiming that he had calling the NTA helpline number yesterday. After holding a discussion with the agency officials, he reiterated that results will be announced today or tomorrow. The same is yet to be confirmed by authorities. However, one thing is for sure – scorecards will be published on the official website neet.nta.nic.in as well as ntaresults.nic.in and nta.ac.in.
Several other students called the NTA helpline number and received a variety of responses. According to one students, results were going to come out yesterday by 4:00 pm. Another stated that the NTA officials will provide an update within the next 1-2 days. An email “supposedly” sent by the NTA claimed that prior to result declaration, NTA will issue a public notice announcing the exact result date. Hence, candidates are advised to visit the official website frequently for important announcements about the exam.
With such a variety of responses from NTA officials, candidates are doubting the meaning behind the “soon” word. However, it is safe to assume that the NEET 2021 results will be announced within the next 1-2 days, if not today. There are multiple reasons supporting this assumption.
NEET 2021 examination has been marred by several controversies, student outcries on Twitter, court proceedings, etc. Due to this, exam results which were to come out in the third or fourth week of October 2021 have been delayed. Recently, the Supreme Court gave a nod to the NTA for announcing the results, stating that 16.14 lakh aspirants cannot be left hanging in the air. Keeping this urgency in mind, NEET 2021 results will not be delayed any further are are likely to come out soon.
The COVID-19 pandemic has already created a delay in the upcoming academic year 2021-22. Hence, any significant delay in announcing the NEET 2021 results may cause further postponement in the academics of students. At this juncture, colleges and institutes cannot afford such a delay. This is another reason why there is a high possibility of results coming out today or within the next 1-2 days.
