National Testing Agency conducted NEET on September 13 and is now expected to declare the result of the exam anytime soon at ntaneet.nic.in. However, Dr. Amit Gupta’s, tweet regarding NEET 2020 phase 2, puts a question mark on NEET 2020 result date. The NEET exam expert has tweeted that the Phase 2 exam will be held for the candidates who are affected by COVID-19. This phase 2 exam of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) is expected to be held between October 10 to 12, 2020, tentatively, also states the tweet.
The other 2 important information gathered from the tweet is that such candidates will be receiving emails or SMS regarding the phase 2 exam details. Also, the exam center for phase 2 might be the same as that of the first examination.

If the phase 2 exam is held, then just like the first exam, this will be also an offline exam with 720 total marks. The total questions in the exam will be 180. There will 45 MCQs each from Physics & Chemistry and 90 questions from Biology alone.
Recently NTA had uploaded the OMR sheets of the candidates under their respective logins. The OMR sheet was also kept open for challenges until October 7, 2020. To submit any challenge against the OMR displayed, the candidates had to pay Rs. 1000 per question.
Last year NTA declared NEET result 3 days after the OMR challenge ended. This year, in this same line, it is expected that the NEET 2020 result can be declared around October 10, 2020.
However, gong by Amit Gupta’s tweet, NEET 2020 phase 2 can be held between October 10 – 12, 2020. Thus 2 things are possible:
1) NTA will wait for the phase 2 exams and will release the result of both exams together. In that case, the NEET 2020 result will no be declared around October 10, 2020.
2) However, if NTA chooses to declare the result of both the exam separately, then chances are there that the result of the first exam can be declared around October 10, 2020.
NEET 2020 result will be available in online mode as a scorecard bearing the scores, cutoff, and ranks for 15% All Indian Quota counselling. To check the result candidates have to login with their application number of NEET 2020 and password / date of birth.
