In a very surprising move, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has again started the facility for NEET 2019 Application Form Correction. While candidates were waiting for the answer key of NEET 2019, a notice for form correction was uploaded last night on ntaneet.nic.in. As per it, the facility for correction started on May 27, 2019, and will end at 5:00 pm on May 31, 2019.
This is a one time facility and to avail it, candidates need to visit the official website and click on ‘Candidates Login” tab that is available at the left hand side. On clicking it, the login will appear on the screen and the candidates can access it by entering application number and password. After login, the candidates need to click on the link for “Click here for Correction in NEET(UG)- 2019 Application“. It is available under application number, which appears in red colour. From that link, candidates can make the needed changes.
It should be noted that the changes can only be made in a few details. The candidates can change – Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, and Category. Other than this, no other details can be changed in the application form of NEET 2019.
NTA has advised candidates to use this opportunity very carefully. After this, the candidates will not get any chance to make changes in the details. The details are verified during the counselling round and incorrect details harm candidature.
NTA conducted National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test 2019 on May 05, 2019. The examination was held throughout India. However, for the candidates of Odisha, the exam was re-scheduled due to cyclone Fani. The exam was then held on May 20, 2019.
The answer key of NEET 2019 by NTA is still awaited and it is expected now that the Agency will release it after May 31, 2019, after the correction ends. However, the possibility of early release cannot be ignored. The answer key of NEET 2019 will be released on the official website, for code E1, F1, G1, H1, P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, S1, S2 S3, S4, S5, S6.
Along with the answer key, the question paper and response sheet of the candidates will also be uploaded on the website. The candidates can use it all to predict score in the exam, by matching the answers and allocating 4 marks for each correct answer and deducting 1 marks for every incorrect answer. As per the marking scheme of NEET 2019, negative is applicable if more than 1 answer is marked for a question.
The answer key of NEET 2019 can be challenged. The candidates need to pay Rs. 1000 per objection. The objection has to be submitted online. However, it will only be accepted if the candidates will upload a document of proof with it.
