Who can participate?
Candidates who have registered in the first round of counselling but have not secured any seat can participate in the NEET 2nd round counselling 2021. However, they need not register again. One can also submit fresh registrations but this will be only from candidates who have not registered in the first round. It must be noted that candidates who have become non-eligible due to insufficient documents as per eligibility criteria will not be eligible for the second round of allotment. Also, those candidates who have not registered in the first round nor the second round will not be eligible for seat allotment.
While participating in the NEET 2nd round counselling 2021, candidates are required to submit fresh choices via the online window. In that case, choices that were filled during the first round of counselling will stand invalid. The candidates should lock the choices as per the stipulated deadline. Submitting fresh choices is mandatory so that the candidates are considered for seat allotment during the second round. On the other hand, if the candidate does not submit fresh choices, then they will not be considered for seat allotment. They will have to retain the already allotted seat from the first round. Due to the provision of free exit, candidates may not report or join the college allotted in the first round.
