Based on previous year trends, the expected NEET 2026 cutoff for the General category may range between 715–120 marks, while for OBC, SC, and ST categories, the cutoff is expected to be slightly lower.
Experts believe that factors such as exam difficulty level, number of candidates, and seat availability will significantly influence the cutoff. If the paper is easier compared to last year, the cutoff may increase slightly.
Students must note that qualifying cutoff is different from admission cutoff. While qualifying cutoff determines eligibility, admission cutoff depends on college-wise closing ranks.
Candidates are advised to aim for a higher score to secure seats in top government medical colleges.
