The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the notification regarding the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) on its official website soon. This comes after NTA recently revamped and updated its official website. As there has been no official announcement regarding the same, it has been reported by news channels that the registration might begin by April first week. Once the registration process begins, students can apply for NEET 2022 on neet.nta.nic.in.

NEET 2022 – Tentative dates

The notification of the NEET 2022 exam is awaited by lakhs of students who have been preparing for the same. The tentative date of the beginning of registration is April 1, 2022, according to various media and educators. Usually, the NEET is conducted in the month of June. Due to the ongoing crisis due to the pandemic, the exam schedule of NEET has remained irregular since 2020. However, the Health Ministry has recommended NTA conduct NEET 2022 by the last week of June 2022. As per reports by various news channels, NEET 2022 is tentatively scheduled to be conducted on June 25, 2022.

NEET 2022 – Application Form

The application for NEET 2022 should be submitted on the official website along with the online payment of the application fee. Students must fill in the personal as well as educational details along with their preferences for admission in the application portal. To apply for NEET 2022 candidates should keep the required documents such as the class 10 certificate, category certificate, PwD certificate, etc. ready to upload.

The NEET is conducted to provide admissions to various medical courses to eligible students. To apply for NEET 2022 students must have passed 10+2 education from a recognized board or university or should have appeared for the exam in 2022 and are waiting for the results with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

Age Limit Removed

The upper age limit to apply for NEET has been removed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) from this year. Earlier the maximum age limit to apply for NEET was 25 years. However, a candidate must be at least 17 years of age on December 31, 2021, to apply for NEET UG 2022. Since the upper age limit is removed, the number of students appearing for the NEET 2022 exam is expected to be very high.

The questions of NEET 2022 will be from the NCERT class 11 and class 12 textbooks. All the questions will be objective-type multiple choice questions (MCQs).
