NEET 2022 Big Changes – No Age Limit, Application Form Confirmation To Be Available in Digilocker App, and More

The application form of NEET 2022 is expected to be released by 3:00 on April 2, 2022.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release the notification and the commencement of registration for the National Eligibility & Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2022 today, April 2, 2022, on their official website. Aspiring candidates can register for NEET 2022 at the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. Prior to the release of the NEET 2022 notification, academicians and experts are predicting major changes in the conduct of the exam out of which some changes are already released. The NEET 2022 written test is expected to be conducted on July 17, as reported inby several media outlets.

NEET 2022 Big Changes

The NTA is planning to implement the changes in the conduct of NEET 2022 to enhance the security and accuracy of the all India medical and dental admission test. The exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode in 13 official languages. The major changes to NEET 2022 are listed below.

No Upper Age Limit

The NTA has already announced that there will be no upper age limit for NEET UG. Any qualified person who is above the age of 17 can attempt NEET 2022.

Confirmation Page on Digilocker

Just like NTA has done with the JEE Main 2022, the confirmation page of NEET 2022 application form will be made available on the Digilocker platform. Also, candidates can access all the instructions regarding the exam from the SANDES app. The confirmation page will also be sent to the registered email id.

Reported Change in Exam Pattern

Unlike the previous years, the pattern of NEET 2022 is expected to have a major change. Each subject will be divided into two sections, the first section with 35 questions that are compulsory and the second section with 15 questions, out of which 10 are compulsory. All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions.

Concession in Private College Admissions

The government is making amendments to the fee structure of students in private colleges. 50% of the total seats in private colleges will be reserved for meritorious students at the government college fee.

Above all of these changes, NTA has taken major decisions in ensuring the genuineness of the candidates applying for the NEET 2022. Candidates have to enter the OTP received on their registered mobile number to start the application process and the OTP received on the registered email id to finish the application. Due to the removal of the upper age limit of NEET 2022, the number of candidates appearing for the same is expected to be higher than the usual numbers.
