What could be a dream for many, has become a reality for Aditi Tiwari. The student from NIT Patna has secured a job at Facebook with an annual salary package of Rs 1.6 crore. According to a tweet by Bihar Foundation, this is the highest package that has ever been received by a student from the reputed NIT Patna. Tiwari is a student of Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) at the institute.
She will be working as a Front End Engineer at the social media company. It is reported that Aditi has made a major breakthrough in the last five years. The maximum package that was offered was only 50 to 60 lakhs. Aditi is a resident of Jamshedpur and her father is employed at Tata Steel while her mother works in a government school as a teacher.

Tiwari had received the offer letter in January 2022, but she had recently informed the institute about her placement. Her selection was finalized after many rounds of interviews while her final selection was confirmed after an online interview. In the light of her success, the Training and Placement officer at NIT Patna Dr Shailesh M Pandey said that it is a matter of pride that the students are excelling at the campus placements. Despite the pandemic, the students have been conscious of their studies and careers. Similarly, the institute’s director PK Jain congratulated her and said that this is the highest jump in the placement drive.
Placements soar at NIT Patna
NIT Patna saw a record-breaking year this time as the institute stood at 110% placements. In the last two years, the campus placements were badly hit due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With the slowly returning normalcy, the campus is moving towards the pre-COVID times and students have started getting better chances at government jobs. Companies like Adobe, Amazon, Linkedin, Paytm, Oracle and others were present at the campus placements at the institute.
Earlier, Patna girl Sampreeti Yadav had also made everyone proud after she received a Rs 1.11 crore package at Google. Soon after their success stories were out, the social media site Twitter got filled with congratulations and good wishes from everyone. Many have commented that it’s impressive for girls to havestarted coming up in the field and this is what makes a big achievement.
