NEET 2021 Counselling Round - Documents Needed

Several reports are claiming that the National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to announce the NEET 2021 results soon. Once announced, the link to access results will be made available on the official website neet.nta.nic.in. The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 was held on September 12, 2021, through the conventional pen-and-paper mode. Results were expected to come out in the second week of October 2021, but have been delayed due to various reasons. Despite the controversies surrounding the exam, results are expected to come out soon.

After NEET 2021 result declaration, candidates who qualify for the exam will be expected to appear for the counselling session. To do so, they must register for the counselling sessions and fill in their preferred college choices. Of course, these choices must be decided and filled only after determining the chances of getting into them. For example, a candidate scoring 400+ in NEET 2021 should to not put AIIMS Delhi as his/her top college preference.

Apart from making a list of preferred colleges, candidates must also keep their documents ready for the NEET 2021 counselling round. Read ahead to know the documents required, with reference to last year.

NEET 2021 Documents needed for counselling registration

As per last year’s information, students must register on MCC’s official website mcc.nic.in. After registering, they must enter their login credentials to fill in their choices. The NTA database will already consist of information provided by the candidate. Hence, candidates have to only confirm this information, pay the counselling fee and fill in their choices, in order of priority. So, candidates do not require any separate documents while registering for the NEET 2021 counselling session.

NEET 2021 Documents required during document verification for admissions

After a seat has been “provisionally” allotted to a candidate, he/she must appear for the document verification process to confirm their admission. While appearing for this session, candidates must carry the following documents to the verification centre –

# Allotment Letter issued by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)

# NEET 2021 Admit Card issued by NTA.

# Result/ Rank letter issued by NTA.

# Date of Birth Certificate (if Metric Certificate does not bear the same)

# Class 10th Certificate

# Class 10+2 Certificate

# Class 10+2 Marks Sheet

# Eight (8) Passport size photograph the same as affixed on the application form.

# Provisional allotment letter generated online.

# Proof of identity (Aadhar/ PAN/ Driving Licence/ Passport)

# For NRI/ OCI candidates appearing for Deemed Universities documents mandatory are Passport copy of sponsorer, embassy certificate, Sponsorship affidavit, Relationship Affidavit

# SC / ST Certificate, OBC certificate, Disability Certificate, EWS Certificate if applicable, to claim reservation

Candidates must note that in the absence of any document mentioned above, the grant of admission is compromised. Hence, it is of utmost importance to keep these documents ready, even before the NEET 2021 results are announced.
