Within 24 hours of the NEET 2021 examination, the demand for accurate online rank predictors and college predictors has gained significant momentum. A good rank predictor may not provide the exact rank but can provide a nearby figure to help candidates understand where they stand. This year, a record-breaking 16.14 lakh candidates reportedly appeared for the examination and so, there is tough competition to get a prestigious medical college. While candidates can make use of unofficial answer keys uploaded online to calculate their tentative scores, predicting a rank is far more complex. So, a simple solution to this complex problem is a rank predictor.

National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully conducted the National Eligibility Entrance Examination (NEET) 2021 on September 12, 2021. The exam was conducted across 3,858 centres in the country for a duration of 3 hours i.e., from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Predict your NEET 2021 rank the traditional way – Check answer key, calculate score, and see marks vs rank

Just hours after the exam was held, many education institutions like Aakash, Allen, Etoos Education and Vedantu uploaded answer keys. Using these answer keys, candidates can easily calculate their tentative scores. The markings scheme is as follows –

Correct Answer: 4 marks

Incorrect Answer: -1 marks

Unanswered Questions: 0 marks

Candidates must simply cross-check the answers that they have marked in the question paper with those present in the answer key and allot marks accordingly. Of course, there may be certain discrepancies in the calculation. But, a tentative score will be useful in predicting a tentative NEET 2021 rank.

Predicting rank using NEET 2021 rank predictor and admission chances using college predictor

Rank predictor is a simple, convenient and easy-to-use tool which is used to predict a tentative rank in any competitive examination. Due to the extent of competition and limited seats in medical colleges, NEET 2021 rank predictor has become a sought-after tool, available online. This rank predictor is said to be 90% accurate since it’s based on a number of different criteria. These include –

# total number of candidates who appeared for the exam

# difficulty level of paper

# marking scheme

# previous-year cut-offs

Getting a tentative NEET 2021 rank will help candidates determine their chances of getting into their dream colleges. This rank will also help candidates understand whether another attempt is needed or not.

To use any reliable NEET 2021 rank predictor, candidates have to use the following sequence of steps –

Step 1: Search and visit the website of any accurate NEET 2021 rank predictor.

Step 2: Enter the required information such as name, email ID, NEET score (probable), mobile number, gender, category, address, etc.

Step 3: On entering these details, click on the ‘Submit’ option to get an estimated rank.

Based on the marks obtained in previous NEET exams, here is a tentative range of ranks for a candidate’s reference –

Marks Range
600-7201-19280
500-59924027-101139
400-499101138-215022
300-399215021-373744

Going one step forward, there are NEET 2021 college predictors. These predictors are based on the last year’s college cut offs. In essence, college predictors ask you to enter ranks, and see which colleges gave admission upto that rank in the last year.

Here are a list of rank predictors that candidates can use to predict their NEET 2021 probable rank, and also college predictors are available on some of these places to get an idea of where one can get admission –
