Mumbai University to Announces First Merit List Tomorrow at 11 AM; Verification and fee payment until 11 Aug

700+ Mumbai University affiliated colleges will announce their first merit list for first year degree course admission on August 6. It will be followed by release of 2 more merit lists.

Mumbai University will release its first merit list tomorrow i.e August 06, 2020, for admission in the first-year degree courses. The merit lists for 700+ colleges will start to roll out from 11 am and candidates can check them on the official websites of the affiliated colleges. The Mumbai University first merit list will be followed by release of 2 more merit lists, one on August 11 and the other on August 17, 2020.

Initially, the first merit list was supposed to be out on August 04, 2020, but the University decided to postpone the dates, and thus the first merit lists are now releasing on August 6, 2020.

The pre-admission form of Mumbai University was available until August 5, 2020. Candidates who have successfully submitted the pre-admission form along with the college admission form by 3 pm on August 5, 2020, will be considered for admission.

The affiliated colleges of Mumbai University prepare the merit lists according to the marks of the candidates in the qualifying examination. Over 700+ colleges are affiliated with the Mumbai University. 

Other factors that are responsible for the preparation of merit list of the Mumbai University are the availability of seats in a particular course and college, the total number of registration for a particular programme, reservation rules, etc. Mumbai University releases 3 merit lists in total. 

According to the new admission schedule released by Mumbai University, the candidates who get their names in the first merit list can further take part in the counselling process. The document verification process and payment of admission fee can be completed from August 06, 2020 (1.00 PM) till August 11, 2020 (till 3.00 PM). 

The second merit list of Mumbai University will be released on August 11, 2020 at 7.00 PM. The shortlisted candidates can complete the document verification and payment of admission fee process from August 12, 2020 to August 17, 2020 (up to 3.00 PM). 

Mumbai University will release its third merit list on August 17, 2020, and the shortlisted candidates can complete the document verification process and can pay the admission fee from August 18, 2020, to August 21, 2020.

The documents to be submitted at the time of counselling are 2-3 printouts of the admission form and pre-admission form, declaration / undertaking form, valid id proof, mark sheets of the qualifying examinations, caste certificate (if applicable), transfer and conduct certificate. 

On August 04, 2020, St. Xavier’s College has already released the first merit list for MA Psychology (Part 1) course. The candidates willing to take admission are required to take part in its counselling process that will start from August 06, 2020, and will go on till August 08, 2020. The candidates have to complete the document verification process and pay the admission fee via online mode. The college has released separate merit lists for the General, Christian Minority and Special categories.
