Top 2,50,000 qualifiers of JEE Mains 2020 are eligible for this national-level examination. Every year, this exam is conducted for students who wish to get admission in prestigious IITs across the nation. As the countdown for JEE Advanced 2020 has begun, there are certain important tips that each aspirant must follow to get a good rank in the examination.

Candidates are advised to not start any new chapter or concept. Instead, they must focus on revising and revisiting their strong points and strengthen them further. This will boost their confidence and provide conceptual clarity. Mock tests are essential while preparing for the entrance test. It imparts speed, accuracy, presence-of-mind and time-management to the candidate. Aspirants are also advised to solve previous-year questions papers to get an idea about the type of questions asked. They are also advised to analyse their paper after correction to understand their weak spots.

In the remaining few days before exam, candidates are advised to get 8 hours of sleep every day, especially the night before the exam. Good sleep and health shall keep candidates energetic while solving two 3-hour papers. Last few days before the exam are always crucial and candidates often, get stressed. In this situation, they are asked to maintain composure and positivity to not dwindle their confidence.

JEE Advanced paper consists of three core subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Physics requires accuracy, speed and conceptual clarity. To achieve this, candidates have to focus on formulae, derivations and processes a few days before the exam. This shall help them recall important concepts during the examination. To ace Chemistry, candidates must be well-versed with Classes 11 and 12 NCERT textbooks. In the last few days, candidates are advised to focus on important equations, formulae and chemical processes to score well in the subject and save their time.

In Mathematics, students must primarily focus on derivations. Few days before the exam, candidates must revise easy methods that are used to solve Maths problems. A JEE question consists of multiple concepts intertwined with one another. Candidates must have the ability to link one concept with another in all three subjects.

A very important step to follow while solving the exam is to recognise easy questions. Candidates are advised to first solve all the easy questions followed by medium and difficult-level questions. Such level of understanding plays a key role in the examination. Entrance tests are solely based on time-management and conceptual clarity. If students excel in both, it is easy for them to achieve the success they deserve.
