Today, January 17, 2019, is the last date to challenge the JEE Main 2019 Answer Key. The facility to challenge the answer key is available until 11:50 PM today at jeemain.nic.in under the respective logon of the candidates. The candidates who wish to raise objection against the official answer key of JEE Main 2019 can avail their claims online.

The answer key challenge window is made available from January 15-17, 2019. Rs. 1000/- is to be paid per challenge to claim the objection. The payment is to be made online using net banking or credit/debit card. National Testing Agency has released the JEE Main 2019 Answer Key in online mode. In addition to that, this time the release of answer key is not made in a PDF format.

How To Check the JEE Main 2019 Answer Key?

Candidates will be needing the question paper and response sheet along with the correct options to estimate their scores. The response sheet and question papers were made available on January 14, 2019. To check the answer keys candidates need to log in using the link “challenge answer key”. Thereafter they need to enter the details to login into their accounts. Once the account is open the link will be available to challenge the answer key and under that link, the question IDs and the correct option IDs will be available.

Once the challenges are reviewed and accepted, NTA will release the final answer key. JEE Main 2019 Final Answer key will be the one based on which the raw scores of the candidates will be calculated and the percentile score/NTA score will be determined.

The JEE Main 2019 Result will thus contain the percentile score of the candidates in Physics, chemistry a and Mathematics. The overall percentile score will be also made available. NTA had conducted the JEE Main 2019 exam in online mode from January 08-12, 2019 in 2 shifts. Thus, the factor of normalization has come into play here, as the exam was held on multiple days and shifts. The AIR will not be based on the raw scores of the candidates, it will be based on the normalized scores.

NTA will release the final AIR after the JEE Main 2019 April exam. The All India Rank (AIR) list will be prepared based on the best scores of the candidates out of the 2 exam – January and April 2019. Admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs will be based on this final AIR.
