Manipal University extends the last date to apply for B.Tech admission to April 08, 2019. The candidates who have registered for the exam can start with the slot booking process that is starting from April 05, 2019 at Manipal OTBS.
The candidates have to register first to apply for the B.Tech admission. After the registration is done, the candidates have to start filling the application form, upload the documents needed and pay the application fee.
The candidates have to pay a total of Rs. 2000 as application and entrance test fee to submit the application form. Rs. 600 is the application fee and Rs. 1400 is the entrance test fee. The fee is to be submitted in the online mode using net banking, credit/debit card or Credit Card, Cash Card, Mobile Payments, Paytm, Wallet or UPI.
As the application form is filled and submitted the candidates have to process to book their exam slots. To book the slots the candidates have to visit the Manipal OTBS (Online Test Booking System).
The Manipal University has also released an online demo Manipal OTBS Slot Booking video on its official website, manipalotbs.com. The aim is to familiarise candidates with the various functionalities of Online Test Booking format. Candidates are required to visit the official website and enter their MAHE Application Number and your OTBS password. Note that, this password is not the same as the ones issued at the time of Manipal Application form filling.
Just a few days before the Manipal OTBS commences, the University provides all its applicants with a password over registered email ID and contact number that needs to be entered by a candidate. This password is an essential detail as it is further required during B.Tech counselling, for registration, for option filling, for waitlisting, etc. After entering the details, click the “Login” button to proceed.
Candidates are then advised to verify all the details, appearing on the left-hand side of the screen, read the “important note” section, tick the checkbox provided at the end of the page and proceed further by clicking on ” Book a seat” button. Over the next page, a candidate can select their preferred city, date/date range (should be selected for a period of 4 days).
Furthermore, select test centre name from the drop down. Make a note of the available seats to book the exam day and slot and proceed further by clicking ” Book” option. Candidates are only given a minute to confirm the booking. A preview of the booked exam date, slot, centre, city and time appears, which needs to be confirmed.
On receiving the confirmation from the candidates, Manipal University issues the e-hall ticket, mentioning hall ticket number, test date, reporting time, test time, test duration, candidate’s name, application number, group, course, category, photograph and signature and centre address, along with some general instructions. Click “Generate PDF” to save a copy of the admit card in online mode and carry it, on the day of the exam.
If a candidate is not satisfied with their First attempt score, he/she can appear for MU OET second attempt. He/she needs to again follow the same procedure to book the exam slots and download the admit cards. But this time, a candidate needs to pay an additional slot booking fee in online mode. However, a candidate can only appear for their MU OET third attempt, if the University specifies that they have some vacant seats to be filled.
