KVPY 2021: 10 Things Students Should Do in the Last 10 Days To Grab The Fellowship

When it comes to competitive exams, revision becomes the deciding factor. Hence, students should focus on revision at the last stage of their preparations.

Indian Institute of Science, IISc Bengaluru is going to conduct the KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) Aptitude Test on January 9, 2022. The entrance test is organized every year to offer fellowship in Basic Sciences to students who are presently studying in class 11th, 12th, and in their 1st year of the UG program. 

The KVPY aptitude test is conducted for distinct streams like SA, SB, and SX. The pattern of examination is multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. Once the student clears the examination, they are offered a monthly stipend if they qualify for the fellowship. We have tried to provide 10 Things Students Should Do in the Last 10 Days To Grab The Fellowship. 

1- Revise Thoroughly

Students need to remember that revision is the key to success and is an essential part of one’s preparation. It enhances the memory of the learners and allows them to retain any topic for a longer duration. Always remember to revise the entire syllabus at least twice or thrice. Revision is not mugging up the entire syllabus and prefers to understand the concept. Always refer to notes you have made to cover all the topics. These notes should always be in a pointer which will help you to revise later. Understand all the Highlight content that you have marked while reading.

2- Solve Mock Test and Sample paper

Students must solve Sample papers, Mock tests, and previous year question papers honestly. This exercise will help the students in countless ways. It will allow them to understand the exam pattern, important topics, and frequently asked questions. Regular practice and solving of question papers will boost the confidence in students.

3- Don’t switch to new topics

Revision is the best option for the last minute. However, switching to new topics and a lack of understanding will exhaust the mind of students. Lack of knowledge is better than half knowledge.

4- Do not stress

Stress before exam days can be highly distracting and can take away the focus. It affects both the mental and physical health of a student. Without a sense of what topics are relevant and important. While stressing everything can feel urgent and important, in the last few days, it is essential to prioritize your weaknesses and improve them. students must give their best and avoid thinking about the result or outcome. Trying to get involved in Extracurricular activities as they provide a well-rounded outlook and encourage holistic development of students.

5- Stay away from Distraction

Since the last few days are stressful for Students but that doesn’t mean you need to sit for hours and study. Students must focus on preparing for the KVPY aptitude test and always take short breaks in between. From saving themselves from monotonous routine either change the subject or take a long break. Take smart breaks and indulge yourself in something productive and save your precious precious time. Students must be wise enough to know what’s best for them and stay away from social media.

6- Clear your doubts

It’s better to clear your doubts when you have time and seek advice from your professor or tutor. If students are facing any problem in solving a question then can either watch the topper interviews or any senior. Clearing doubts right away becomes crucial because it enables the students to secure maximum time for revision.

7- Work on personality Development

As we know that stage 2 of the KVPY exam is crucial for examination. Therefore it becomes essential to work on personality development. learn to exhibit calm and confidence. Be more engaging, less scripted, and answer every question. Even though this year, no interview will take place, being confident clears all the obstacles.

8- Be Consistent in all the subject

Since all the subjects carry equal weightage, give an equal amount of time to all of them. Be consistent in the last few days and don’t leave any topic for the last-minute preparation. The last day’s preparation should solely be revised consistently.

9- Analyze your preparation

After students have been given the KVPY mock test, check their scores and analyze their mistakes. This analysis will help students to keep a track of the time and their weekly points. Hence, paying attention to weak topics will strengthen the exam preparation that will prove effective in the long run.

10- Keep yourself Updated

Students must keep themselves updated about the exam and other changes if happening. Always take out some time and surf the internet for exam-related details and previous year’s question papers. Set your daily goals and try to achieve them regularly. The goals and targets need not be huge but it’s the key to confidence building.
