Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar, has released KIITEE 2019 Result on its official website, kiitee.kiit.ac.in. The date for the announcement of the result was April 30, 2019. However, it has been released earlier. On calling the University, Aglasem got to know that the merit list of KIITEE 2019 will release by 2:00 pm.
To check the result of KIITEE 2019. the candidates need to visit the official website and click on the green tab for KIITEE 2019 Result Published. It is on the right hand side of the screen. On clicking the link, candidates will be directed to the login portal. There, the candidates need to enter application number and date of birth is needed to view/ download the KIITEE 2019 Result. After accessing the login, the result will be displayed on the screen.
The result of the exam has been prepared on the basis of the marking scheme, which is +4 for the correct answer and -1 for wrong answers. The University determines the cut off for the examination. On the basis of the cut off and the score of the candidates, merit list is released.
If two or more candidates end up securing the same raw scores/ ranks, KIIT follows particular tie-breaking criteria. For B.Tech/B. Tech & M.Tech (Dual Degree) & B.Tech & MBA (Dual Degree), marks obtained in Mathematics, then in Physics and then as per age limit is prioritized. As per the age limit is concerned in the tie-breaking policy, an older candidate is preferred.
Tie-breaking policy tends to differ in case of different courses like B.Arch, B.Tech (LE), B.Sc.Nursing, BBA/BCA/Bachelor in Design (Fashion/Textile)/ Bachelor in Film & Television Production /BA.LLB/BBA LLB/B.Sc.LLB /Integrated Master of Mass Communication, Biotechnology- Dual Degree (B.Tech/M.Tech)(5 years), MCA/MCA(LE) and M.Tech.
The candidates selected as per the result of KITTEE 2019, will be called for the counselling. As per the information brochure, the counseling round kicks start from May 15, 2019.
During the counselling, the selected candidates are needed to carry documents like their KIITEE admit card, rank card, class 10 passing certificate, class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate, diploma pass certificate, 3 years marksheet for lateral entry candidates, caste certificate (if applicable), GATE scorecard (for M.Tech aspirants) and a demand draft of Rs. 75,000/- which includes the counseling registration fees of Rs. 10,000/- (non-refundable).
Candidates must note that Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology has a reservation policy for SC, ST and PC candidates. 15% of the total number of seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates, 7.5% of seats for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates and 3% of seats for Physically Challenged (PC) candidates, respectively. Further, 30% of seats of each category are reserved for women candidates for B.Tech/ B.Tech & M.Tech. (Dual Degree), Biotechnology courses.
