Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala has just disclosed KEAM 2020 exam dates. Previously Kerala Engineering Architecture and Medical (KEAM), now Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination, will be held on April 20, 2020, and April 21, 2020.
On the first day, which is a Monday, CEE Kerala will conduct paper I of KEAM exam. And on day two that is Tuesday, paper II will be conducted. Examination timings will be 10 am to 12.30 pm on both the dates.
KEAM 2020 paper I refers to the exam of physics and chemistry. Whereas paper II is the mathematics exam.
CEE Kerala has published notifications in English as well as Malayalam. They are available at cee-kerala.org. On the official website of cee-kerala.org, one can see the latest updates section, just below the helpline poster, to go through the notifications by self.
This time CEE Kerala has published exam dates very early. Last year the exam date announcement happened on December 26. Also the exam dates are sooner, the previous session exam was on May 2 and 3. However last time when CEE Kerala had announced the exam dates, the initial exam dates were April 22 and 23. Then they were first changed to April 27 and 28. The final revision in exam dates changed them to May 2 and 3. The dates had to be changed multiple times due to general elections.
It is important to note that now the exam is only for engineering admissions. That is students who wish to pursue engineering after 10+2 from colleges in Kerala, must appear in the entrance exam. It will be mandatory for them to appear in the exam, and qualify it.

Other than these details, that exam will be for engineering admissions, the exam date, time, and helpline numbers, CEE Kerala has not published any other details of the exam. It may be noted that last time the online application form was available from February 3 to February 28.
Going by the usual schedule of KEAM, it is expected that KEAM 2020 application form will be issued by January end of February beginning. With it, the office shall issue prospectus of exam containing eligibility criteria, complete schedule, exam pattern, syllabus.
Engineering aspirants shall appear in two papers, I and II. Each will be of 2.5 hours duration. One will be combined for physics and chemistry, and the other will be of mathematics. Questions will be based on the syllabus provided in KEAM 2020 prospectus, which will be available in some time.
Admission to government seats and management seats in government and aided institutions, and seats in self-financing institutions shall be on the basis of KEAM 2020 exam. Engineering course offered shall be B.Tech, on the basis of engineering rank list of the exam subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria of the candidates.
