The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has extended the last date to submit the KCET 2018 Application Form. Earlier the candidates had to submit the form by February 22, 2018, and now it has been extended to March 22, 2018, up to 05:30 PM. The application process began on February 01, 2018 at kea.kar.nic.in.
The applications are to be filled and submitted by online mode only. At the time of registration, the candidates should fill in their own email address and mobile number as KEA will send any information/ update regarding KCET through electronic means only.
While filling up the details in the KCET Application Form, first and foremost things that the candidates should remember is that details to be entered must be correct. You can only make corrections in the application form before the final submission. After the declaration and the application form is submitted the candidates cannot change/ edit/ modify the details submitted by them.
The application process is to be done in two phases. In the first phase, candidates have to fill the details and can edit the data any number of times and also can take the draft printouts before selecting the declaration.
In the second phase, the candidates have to select the declaration but before that, they need to confirm themselves that there are no changes that need to be done in the online application.
Fee
The General candidates of Karnataka need to pay an amount of Rs. 650, Rs. 500 for SC/ ST candidates of Karnataka, Rs. 750 for Candidates outside Karnataka, Rs. 5000 for Candidates residing outside India. The application fee is payable by Challan and it must be done before March 22, 2018.
After that the candidates have paid the application fee, they can take a printout of the application form on an A4 Size paper. Obtain Principal seal and signature from the college where you have studied 2nd PUC or 12th Standard on the space given on the printed form. The same copy is to be produced during document verification.
Exam Date
The full form of KCET is Karnataka Common Entrance Test, which is held by KEA. The entrance test is going to be held on April 18 and 19, 2018. The test is held to grant admission in Engineering, Technology, B. Pharma, 2nd-year B.Pharma, Pharma-D courses and Farm Science courses in Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka.
The question paper is on the basis of First and Second PUC syllabi prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.
Those who wish to seek admission in MBBS, BDS and AYUSH Courses, must appear and qualify in NEET 2018. While for admission in B.Arch courses, the candidates must qualify NATA 2018. Such candidates do not require to appear for KCET 2018, however, they have to fill up the application form.
