The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test or JNVST 2021 has been successfully conducted today. The test was conducted over 11, 182 test centres across the country by strictly following the COVID-19 protocols. With the completion of the test, it’s now time for the students and parents to wait for the official answer key and the results. After qualifying for the test, the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will call the shortlisted students for document verification. Only after that, these students will be eligible to take admission in the JNV schools.
Although it takes time for the official answer key to be out on navodaya.gov.in, it is likely that the answer key will be available after two days from the examination date. The following steps can be helpful to download the answer key, once it is out.
Step 1- Visit navodaya.gov.in and find the link for ‘JNVST 2021 Class 6 Answer Key’.
Step 2- Provide the desired set number(s) of the question paper.
Step 3- Click on the submit button to view and download the answer key.
However, various coaching institutes and other educational centres have released the unofficial answer keys on their websites and other platforms. For instance, a You Tube channel named ‘Ujjwal Lakshya’ has uploaded a detailed explanation of the JNVST 2021 question paper. Similarly, another channel named ‘soam academy’ has posted an eight-minute video in which they discuss and solve the JNVST 2021 question paper elaborately.
These unofficial answer keys or explanatory videos are helpful for the parents to crosscheck their wards’ answers and get an idea about the probable score. It must be noted that for every correct answer, 1.25 marks will be awarded. However, there is no negative marking for the incorrect answers. Parents and students can also visit the Aglasem website to get the answer keys for all the question paper sets.
Based on the result declaration trends of the last two years, it is very likely that the results will be declared by the second week of November 2021. In 2020, the JNVST exam for Class 6 was held on January 11, 2020 while the results were declared on June 19, 2020, i.e. 160 days after the examination date. Likewise, in 2019, the examination was conducted on April 06, 2019 and the results were declared on May 29, 2019. The difference between the examination date and the result date is 53 days. Hence, it can be said that this year, the results will tentatively be declared by November 19, 2021. However, parents must keep an eye on the website regarding any official announcement.
