Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has released the exam dates of JIPMER DM / M.Ch 2019 examination. The institution will conduct the JIPMER DM / M.Ch entrance exams for two sessions; first session in January and the second one in July.

JIPMER D.M. / M.Ch January 2019 session
The online registration process for D.M / M.Ch course will commence from September 17, 2018. The registration process will end by October 26, 2018 (Friday). JIPMER DM / M.Ch January 2019 session entrance exam will held on December 02, 2018. The counselling will be done in 4 stages; first counseling, second counseling, third counseling, and final counseling. All the rounds will wrap up in a single day on December 21, 2018. The admission process for January 2019 session will close by February 28, 2019.
JIPMER DM / M.Ch / Fellowship July 2019 Session
The online registration process will start from February 28, 2019. The registration process will end on April 01, 2019. JIPMER DM / M.Ch / Fellowship Entrance will be held on May 19, 2019. All rounds of counseling will be on June 14, 2019. The admission process of DM / M.Ch / Fellowship course for July 2019 session will over on August 31, 2019.
Students have to fill the application form for the entrance examination through the official website of JIPMER i.e. http://www.jipmer.puducherry.gov.in. Aspirants are adviced to apply early to avoid last minute hassle.
About DM and MCh Programs
At JIPMER, DM and MCh programs are of three years duration. Fellowship is a one year program on the other hand. DM and MCh are offered as super speciality courses.
The specialities in which DM are offered include cardiac anaesthesia, cardiology, clinical immunology, clinical pharmacology, neonatology, neurology, nephrology, medical oncology, endocrinology, medical gastroenterology. MCh specialities which can be studied are urology, cardio thoracic & vascular surgery (ctvs), neurosurgery, surgical gastroenterology, plastic surgery.
Candidates who have passed MD / DNB degree are eligible.
Highlights of JIPMER DM MCh 2019 Entrance Exam
JIPMER DM / M.Ch / Fellowship will held in online mode only and in a single day. The entrance will be conducted in two slots. DM / M.Ch course test will be conducted in the first slot and Fellowship in the second slot.
Entrance examination for DM / M.Ch and Fellowship course will be conducted seperately. The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. The question paper will have 100 MCQ type question in english language.
JIPMER was established by French Government in 1823. This medical college was originated as École de Médicine de Pondichérry. The college was later upgraded into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER). Today it enjoys the status of Institute of National Importance.
