West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) is yet to release the official exam scheduled for the two ensuing entrance exams – Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics (JEXPO) 2021 and Vocational Lateral Entry Test (VOCLET) 2021. Recently, the council took the decision of extending the registration deadline to August 31, 2021. Now that the registration process ends, candidates are wondering about the new exam dates for both exams. Speculation of the exams getting cancelled is also making the rounds, candidates are advised to refer to the official website to stay updated about the exam.
The schedule for VOCLET and JEXPO 2021 was decided already and as per that the authorities began the registration process on May 06, 2021. The last date to register for the exam was June 30, 2021. Admit cards for the exams were going to release on June 28, 2021. Thereafter, the entrance exams were scheduled to take place on July 18, 2021. Results were expected to come out in the last week of July 2021.
The sequence of exam events was to take place as per the timeline mentioned above. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, exams were postponed, and the registration deadline was extended to August 31, 2021. Now, referring to the previous examination schedule, we have tried to determine the tentative exam dates. Asper that the exams are likely to be conducted on September 18, 2021. However, due to a delay in the announcement of the exam schedule, JEXPO and VOCLET 2021 are likely to take place in the last week of September 2021.
Assuming that the entrance exams would take place in the last week of September 2021, JEXPO and VOCLET 2021 admit cards are likely to release in the second or third week of September 2021. After the exam, results are likely to be announced in the second week of October 2021. However, this is a tentative schedule and might get changed depending on the decision of WBSCTE.
While waiting for the examination scheduled to come out, aspirants must continue their preparation. To prepare better, they must be thoroughly aware of the exam pattern. In the case of JEXPO 2021, the exam will be conducted online or offline mode for a duration of 2 hours.
The exam will cover 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for a maximum of 100 marks. In the paper, questions will be displayed in the English and Bengali languages. While each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark, 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
VOCLET 2021 exam pattern is the same as JEXPO 2021 including the number of questions, weightage given to each question, total marks, language, etc. What’s important to note is that the paper will cover questions from subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanics and Computer Science. The overall performance of candidates in the paper will decide a candidate’s chance of getting into a good college.
