JEECUP 2020 Exam starts on 12 Sep; Know what to carry and exam instructions here

Candidates appearing for the JEECUP 2020 entrance exam, scheduled on September 12, are expected to follow certain important instructions at the test centre. Know What all is Required.

The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) 2020 examination is going to start from September 12, 2020 with few papers scheduled on September 15, 2020. The JEECUP  2020 exam for groups A and E is going to be held on September 12. The exam for groups B, C, D, F, G, H, J and K1 to K8 are scheduled on September 15. Every year, the UP-Polytechnic examination is held for students who wish to pursue courses pertaining to areas like Engineering, Pharmacy, Technology and Management.

Candidates appearing for the JEECUP 2020 examination have to bring certain important documents to the examination centre. These documents include the exam admit card and a valid ID proof like Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, Pan Card, etc. No entry to the exam centre is permitted without these documents.

The entrance exam is conducted in two modes- online and offline. Candidates who are appearing for computer-based exam are permitted to only carry their admit card and ID proof. Those who are appearing for the pen-paper based exam are instructed to also carry a transparent clipboard/ cardboard clipboard and a ball-point pen. Items like calculators, pagers, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, study material, log tables, etc are strictly prohibited at the test centre.

The JEECUP 2020 examination candidates have to follow certain instructions issued by the conducting body. Candidates are required to bring a hardcopy of the admit card to the exam centre. Digital/ softcopy of the same shall not be accepted inside the centre. Students are also expected to carry their own stationery for the pen-paper based examination. This stationery includes pencil, blue or black ballpoint pen, eraser, etc. Candidates are expected to report at the centre 30 minutes prior to the actual reporting time. In case of online examination, a biometric verification of candidates will be carried out. Hence, they are advised to not apply henna (mehendi) on the left hand.

The UP-Polytechnic exam is of 3 hours duration and consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The examination is conducted in both offline and online modes. Groups A and E are conducted through pen-paper format whereas groups B to K are conducted through computer-based format. The question paper is available in both Hindi and English languages. The paper comprises of 100 questions with each question being allotted 4 marks. For every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted from the total marks scored.

The JEECUP 2020 entrance examination was previously scheduled on May 31 and June 1, 2020. However, due to the COVID19 pandemic, the exam is now scheduled to be conducted in September 2020. Through this exam, students can pursue engineering, management, pharmacy and technology courses in prestigious institutes in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
