As of mid-November 2021 approaches, candidates across the country are wondering about the next JEE Main examination i.e., JEE Main 2022. This year, in an unprecedented move, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had conducted JEE Main 2021 examination four times, instead of two. A similar format is expected to be followed for the upcoming year. If this schedule persists, the first Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 exam will be held in the month of February next year. Registration for the same will be held on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in in the last week of November or first week of December 2021. Read ahead to get more clarity about the tentative schedule of JEE Main 2022.
The JEE Main 2022 examination is expected to be held in a phase-wise manner in the months of February, March, April and May, next year. In 2021, NTA was scheduled to follow the same schedule. However, after the March 2021 session, the second-wave of COVID-19 created a havoc in the country. Hence, the April and May 2021 sessions were postponed to July and August 2021, respectively.
Currently, the country is in the recovery stage and experts are suggesting that the third-wave of COVID-19 would not affect the country. With this point in mind, candidates can expect the JEE Main 2022 examination to be held in the same months as mentioned above. Therefore, the following schedule can be expected for JEE Mains 2022 –
Session 1 – February 2022: Registration begins in November 2021
Session 2 – March 2022: Registration begins the last week of February 2022
Session 3 – April 2022: Registration begins in the last week of March 2022
Session 4 – May 2022: Registration begins in the last week of April 2022
Candidates must note that the above-mentioned schedule is only tentative and may be subjected to changes based on the joint decision of NTA and the education ministry. Both entities are yet to provide any clarification about the JEE Main 2022 examination. So, candidates can only wait and watch for any announcement by NTA while continuing their preparation.
Coming to the JEE Main 2022 paper pattern, candidates can expect the same 2021 paper pattern to follow in the coming year as well. Hence, the entrance exam is going to be held in the computer-based format at selected centres across the country. Exam will also cover the same syllabus as mentioned in NCERT Class 11 and 12 PCM textbooks i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. If at all any changes are introduced in the pattern, the same will be communicated later.
