JEE Main 2022 – 2 Attempts Confirmed, Information Bulletin Released, Eligibility Criteria Announced by NTA

The National Testing Agency has confirmed that JEE Main 2022 will only be conducted TWO times this year.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has today, March 01, 2022, announced certain important aspects pertaining to the JEE Main 2022 examination. After much wait and anticipation, the decision has come from the horse’s mouth. The announcement has been made through the online mode, on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. This official announcement confirms the number of attempts, eligibility criteria and age-related criteria for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 examination.

Additionally, NTA has also released the JEE Main 2022 information bulletin. Accordingly, online applications have been invited from today onwards. Candidates have time up to March 31, 2022, 5:00 pm to fill and submit the online form. This timeline is applicable for the April 2022 session. However, for the May 2022 session, the registration process will take place from April 08 to May 03, 2022, up to 5:00 pm.

JEE Main 2022 2 Attempts Confirmed

As per the official announcement, JEE Main 2022 examination will be organized twice this year, as opposed to four times in 2021. The same news was corroborated by the Education Ministry earlier this month. The first session will be held in April 2022 whereas the second session shall be organized in May 2022. Following are the exam dates for each session –

JEE Main 2022 April Session: April 16 to 21, 2022

JEE Main 2022 May Session: May 24 to 29, 2022

The JEE (Main) – 2022 will be conducted in 02 (two) sessions for admissions in the next academic session.

NTA has also released the JEE Main 2022 information bulletin on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Mains 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling up the JEE Main 2022 application form, candidates are advised to go through the detailed eligibility criteria mentioned in the information bulletin. However, NTA has briefly explained these criteria in their official announcement. Accordingly,

# There are no age limitations to applying for the JEE Main 2022 examination. However, certain age-related criteria may be imposed depending on the candidate’s choice of the institute.

# Candidates must have passed Class 12 in the academic year 2020 or 2021 or need to pass in 2022, irrespective of their age.
