National Testing Agency (NTA) has released JEE Main 2019 Result. It has been released on jeemain.nic.in at 9:00 pm, on April 29, 2019. Along with the result, the final answer key of the exam has also been released. National Testing Agency (NTA) has awarded upto 24 bonus marks to the JEE Main 2019 April aspirants.
To check the result of JEE Main 2019 the candidates need to visit jeemain.nic.in. On clicking the result in the login window appears wherein the candidates have to enter their application number and dates of birth to be able to log in and access their JEE Main 2019 Result. Once the candidates enter the correct details the result with percentile scores of the candidates appears on the screen.
The result of JEE Main 2019 also indicates the cutoff score to be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2019 examination. The cut off is 89.7548849 for CRL, 78.2174869 for Gen EWS, 74.3166557 for OBC NCL, 54.0128155 for SC, 44.3345172 for ST, and 0.11371730 for PWD. The candidates who clear the cutoff of JEE Main 2019 scores get to apply for the JEE Advanced 2019 exam for admission in the IITs.
The bonus marks have not been awarded only to 8 April shift 2 candidates and 10 April shift 1 and 2 candidates. The candidates who appeared for JEE Main 2019 on 8 April, 2nd shift, have got bonus marks for 6 questions. Hence, have got 24 marks in bonus. Whereas, aspirants of 10 April shift 1 and 2 have received 8 marks each, for 2 dropped question.
The candidates are concerned that the allocation of bonus marks will affect their percentile score and then the final JEE Main 2019 AIR. The candidates with better raw score will get a higher percentile score. Hence, will be placed higher in the rank list. Even single marks affect the rank of JEE Main 2019.
For the April attempt of JEE Main 2019, 9,58,618 candidates have registered in total. Out of them 9,35,741 for were for Paper 1 and 1,69,767 for Paper 2. In 2019, EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category was also introduced and a total of 37,128 EWS candidates have claimed the EWS quota in JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 and 5,840 EWS quota claims have been made by the Paper 2 candidates.
Total number of female registrations are 2,62,281 for Paper 1 and 6,73,457 are the male registrations. However, for paper 2, 71,010 females and 98,756 males have registered.
