JEE Main 2019 Exam to be held from 7 to 20 April in 2 Shift; Timing Announced!

NTA Releases JEE Main 2019 Exam Date

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released first notification for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2019 April exam, on February 08, 2019. As per the notification, the JEE Main 2019 2nd Attempt for B.Tech / B.E / B.Arch / B.Plan admission will be held from April 07 to 20, 2019. Paper-1 will be held in two shifts i.e. from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. However, the shifts and timing for Paper-2 is not confirmed yet. The Paper 2 for Architecture may or may not be held in two shifts.

NTA will also release JEE Main 2019 Application Form today. It will be uploaded on jeemain.nic.in. Candidates who appeared for first attempt, can also apply for 2nd attempt to improve their performance. However, they need to make sure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria.

There is no age limit for the candidates to appear for JEE Main 2019 April. The candidates should have passed class 12 or its equivalent exam in the 2017-18 session. The students who are appearing for the qualifying exams can also fill the form.

The last date to apply for JEE Main 2019 is March 07, 2019. However, the candidates can pay the application fee until March 08, 2019. The application fee for JEE Main 2019 is Rs. 500 while for the reserved categories, it is Rs. 250.

In order to apply, candidates first need to register and then fill details in the application form. Other than the details, candidates also have to upload photograph and signature. Aadhar Card is not mandatory while filling the application form but candidates do need an id proof to apply. Candidates can use the other identification proof such as Passport Number, Ration Card, Bank Account Number or any other valid Government ID Proof.

JEE Main is a national level examination. The candidates who want to get admission in the UG programmes in NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) can apply for it. It offers admission in B.E./ B.Tech and B. Arch/ B.Planning. Candidates can appear for any of the paper according to their interest.

Paper-1 is for B.E./ B.Tech. The subjects for the first paper are Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. It will be a Computer Based Test (CBT). Paper-2 is for (For B. Arch/ B.Planning). There are three parts of the second paper i.e. Mathematics Part-I, Aptitude Test Part-II and Drawing Test Part-III. The first and the second part will be held in the Computer Based Mode while the third paper i.e. Drawing will be conducted in Pen & Paper Based mode. It will be held in offline mode and to be attempted on the drawing sheet.
