After few hours of delay, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur released the response sheet for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 last night, October 05, 2021, at 11:35 pm. All those candidates who have appeared for the Engineering entrance exam can download their response sheets from the official website jeeadv.ac.in. Initially, the institute was scheduled to release the candidates’ response sheets at 5:00 pm yesterday. However, the same did not happen, leaving the candidates hanging without any clarification or reasoning behind the delay. However, the to their deligt, the delay lasted for merely a few hours.
How to download JEE Advanced 2021 Response Sheet?
To download the JEE Advanced 2021 response sheet, candidates need to go to the candidate portal of JEE Advanced 2021, which is cportal.jeeadv.ac.in. They may also choose to follow the steps given below –
Step 1: Visit the official website of JEE Advanced 2021 i.e., jeeadv.ac.in. On the homepage of the website, several notices will be listed in the sequence of date of issuance.
Step 2: Click on the link next to the words “For candidate response, please visit candidate portal at” i.e., https://cportal.jeeadv.ac.in/.
(Candidates may choose to skip steps 1 and 2 by directly searching the candidate’s portal on their preferred web browser.)
Step 3: A new page will open asking for the login credentials. These include JEE Advanced 2021 Registration Number, Date of Birth and Mobile Number.
Step 4: Enter these detail in the spaces provided and click on the “Login” option to download the response sheet.
Step 5: Download or take a printout of the response sheet for future use or reference.
Significance of JEE Advanced 2021 Response Sheet
Downloading or taking a printout of the response sheet can benefit the JEE Advanced 2021 candidates, making it simpler to calculate the tentative score acquired in the exam. While waiting for the official answer key to release, candidates can utilise various unofficial answer keys available online to calculate their tentative scores. This approximate score can then be compared to last years’ cut-offs to understand whether a candidate has qualified the exam or not.
This years’ cut-offs may differ slightly compared to last year due to the level of competition. However, it is always better to know one’s chances of clearing the exam and getting a seat into a premium IIT.
Speaking about the JEE Advanced 2021 official answer key, the provisional copy is all set to release on October 10, 2021, at 10:00 am. Candidates will be given time up to October 11, 2021, 5:00 pm to raise objections or convey their feedback. All these comments will be taken into a consideration and a final answer key will be released on October 15,2021, i.e., on result day!
