JEE Advanced 2021 Dress Code Explained – What Should Boys and Girls Wear?

While going for JEE Advanced 2021, candidates must avoid carrying any prohibited items or they may face disqualification from the selection process.

National Testing Agency has released the JEE Advanced 2021 dress code to be followed on the exam day along with the JEE Advanced admit card. Along with the dress code, NTA has also released a fresh set of guidelines that candidates have to follow while going for the exam.

The JEE Advanced exam is scheduled for October 03, 2021, in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is going to be held from 9 am to 12 pm while paper 2 will be held from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

As per the JEE Advanced admit card, the candidates have to wear their face masks while appearing for the exam. The male candidates are been asked not to wear clothes with long sleeves. The female test takers are also asked to make sure that the sleeves of the dress are not too long. Along with this, the clothes should not be having big buttons and candidates need to keep a check on this factor too.

The agency has also asked the candidates going for JEE Advanced to refrain from wearing any closed shoes. They have been strictly asked to wear open footwear such that the feet are properly visible to the invigilator.

The candidates are not allowed to carry smart or digital watches however wearing analogue watch is allowed. Other than this, a long list of items that are not been allowed inside the exam premise is been released by the NTA along with the admit card, the details of which are mentioned below:

  • Pager
  • Health band
  • Pen drives
  • Electronic Pen
  • Log Books/Geometry Box
  • Mobile phones
  • Bluetooth
  • Earphones
  • Microphones
  • Wallet/Handbag

The candidates who are going to attend the JEE Advanced exam need to abide by the rules released by the agency or their candidature will be cancelled.

The agency has also released the list of the things that are mandatory for the exam and every candidate going to attend the same have to carry with them. The first and the foremost important thing is the JEE Advanced admit card 2021, face mask, hand sanitiser bottle of at least 50ml, stationery, water bottle, and valid id proof.

Along with the basic dress code and instructions, the agency has also affixed a covid-19 declaration form with the JEE Advanced 2021 admit card. The candidates must go through the same and fill it with correct details before going for the examination.
