Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has released the admit card for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2020 on its official website. The national-level entrance exam is scheduled on September 27, 2020 through a computer-based format. Candidates can log-in to the website by entering their registration number and password. Doing so shall lead them to the admit card that they can print for future reference. Every year, the entrance test is conducted for students who have cleared the JEE (Mains) examination. This test shall help candidates get admitted to IITs across the country.

Certain general instructions regarding the candidate are mentioned in the JEE Advanced 2020 Admit Card along with candidate and exam details that must be followed during the entrance test. Candidates are required to carry their admit card, blue/black ballpoint pen and a pencil to the examination. Electronic devices like mobile phone, calculator, digital watches, iPads, etc are strictly prohibited. Candidates are also not permitted to carry logbooks, wallet, goggles, any study material, pieces of paper, slide rule, etc to the examination centre.

Candidates are instructed to reach the exam centre before the scheduled time for verification of their identities by invigilators. Any sort of misconduct or use of unfair means at the exam hall shall lead to disqualification of the candidate. Due to the COVID19 pandemic, aspirants are also advised to wear a mask and carry a 50ml hand sanitizer to the centre. Candidates and their parents are advised to follow all social-distancing protocols outside as well as within the centre premises. This is to ensure the safety and health of everyone present. Students are also not permitted to leave the centre until the exam is over.

There are two papers, each of 3 hours duration with a break in between. At the start of each paper, candidates are provided with scribble pads to do their rough work. These scribble pads have a header page where each student has to write his/her name and registration number. At the end of each paper, candidates are allowed to carry their scribble pads with them.

Conducting body has also issued certain exam-related instructions for JEE Advanced 2020. The exam shall be conducted through computer-based format. Each candidate shall be allotted a computer in which they have to login to access the test. To do so, they have to fill-in the exam roll number and date of birth. After logging-in, a list of instructions shall be displayed which the candidates have to read carefully and select the choice of language (English/Hindi). Candidates can modify their answers at any point during the exam. An on-screen timer is also present at the top right side of the screen and when it reaches zero, the exam shall end itself. Candidates are not required to submit or end the test. JEE advanced 2020 was previously scheduled in May 2020. However, in light of the COVID crisis, the exam is now scheduled in September 2020.
