It has been confirmed on the official website of JEE Advanced 2019 that the examination will be held on May 19, 2019. The announcement of JEE Advanced exam date was done on jeeadv.ac.in, in the evening of October 11, 2018. More information regarding the examination will be updated in due course of time. However, for candidates seeking admission in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) this is an indication that they they need to accelerate their preparation.
It has also been confirmed through the official website that the examination will be conducted by IIT Roorkee. Aglasem.com was the first one to predict that either IIT Delhi or IIT Roorkee will conduct the examination and now it is confirmed that Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee will hold JEE Advanced 2019.
To apply for JEE Advanced, it is mandatory for the candidates to appear for JEE Main 2019. Candidates who are planning to appear for JEE Advanced 2019 should know that registration for JEE Main has ended. Without applying for JEE Mains, one cannot apply for the Advanced exam. However, do not be disappointed if you missed the registration, the online registration for various other B.Tech colleges is open right now. Candidates can apply for it.
JEE Advanced is a national level examination which is conducted by IITs, for IITs B.Tech admission. However, there are various other prestigious colleges like IISc Bangalore, IIIT Hyderabad, IIST, etc. which consider the score of the exam.
It is an online examination, in which only those candidates appear who qualify JEE Main. The number of questions and marking scheme in the examination is never revealed. There are two papers in the exam and candidates have to mandatory appear for both. The questions in the exam will be asked from Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry syllabus and will be of higher level, in comparison to JEE Main.
It is expected that the online registration for the exam will open in month of May 2019. Candidates will only get a week or so to apply. The application form will be available only in online mode and candidates will have to enter personal, educational, communication details, along with the score of JEE Main. The candidates who will register as per the prescribed format will get the admit card and will be allowed to appear for the examination.
The roll of the IITs is only to conduct the exam. The counselling and seat allocation for the exam is done by the Joint Seat Allocation Board (JoSAA). It conducts a combine counselling for NITs, IITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The counselling beings after the announcement of JEE Advanced result, in the month of July.
