JECRC University Jaipur reports that a total of 1,451 students have bagged job offers in the first 75 days of its placement season. A total of 72 companies have hired students from the varsity.
35% of the students placed, are girls, from small towns and districts of Rajasthan. Applauding the several steps taken by JECRC University in achieving successful figures in placements, Rajasthan Chief Minister Sh Ashok Gehlot congratulated the leadership team of the varsity.
JECRC placements 2019 not only surpassed its own placement records, but also that of similar groups in its region, per its placement stats. The average package offered to engineering, design, journalism, law, humanities, hospitality, sciences, management students saw a rise by 20% this year, with students getting 4.5 LPA on an average. The highest package offered was 41 lakh.
One of the key factors that contributed to successful placements, as per Shri Arpit Agarwal, JECRC Foundation, is the “Campus Recruitment Training” program. It is a 200 hour rigorous program that trains students about the selection process of several companies. It also helps students build soft skills, and enhance their personalities, two things that go a long way in interview and selection processes.
Setting up good industry reputation, JECRC University gets exclusive campus drives from companies like Accenture, Birlasoft, BYJU’s, Capgemini, Deloitte, E&Y, Metacube, Mindtree, MTX, Pinnacle, TCS, and ZS Associates.
The placement stats of this year owes its growth to various factors. Starting with the understanding of changing scenario of jobs in India. The university has understood the fact that IT sector companies have penetrated in construction, finance, operations, manufacturing sectors, thus leading to an inflation in the selection of electrical, mechanical, as well as civil engineering students in software cos.
In addition, the shift to internet of things, data science, artificial intelligence has not been missed by the leadership of the university. As a result, students were given proper training to understand the required skills, under JECRC teaching beyond curriculum initiative.
Moreover JECRC took several steps to engage core companies including Bridgestone Tyres, Mahindra First Choice, Philips. Having technology partners as Ashiana Housing, FEV India, GR Infra has also benefited core branch students in getting a job there.
Tapping into the rising industry demands of competition based hiring, wherein companies accept scores of certain national level technical tests for further rounds, JECRC engaged in providing Microsoft Student Partners as well as TCS Codevita selections.
JECRC foundation also reports a significant number of students joining the armed forces, Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Air Force. Motivation from the educational setup reportedly plays a key role in this as well.
The JECRC University is located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Its campus is on a 32 acre land, with 10 lakh square feet of constructed area. The institution got university approval in the year 2013, and is today, a private university in the state. It is run by the JECRC foundation.
