IREL India Limited is inviting applications for the engagement of trade/technician/graduate apprentices. A detailed recruitment notification in this regard is available for download at the official website i.e. irel.co.in. A total of 21 vacancies are announced in different trades in which, the selected candidates are to be appointed for a period of 1 year. The selection of candidates is to be done on the basis of merit. The last date of receipt of applications is August 05, 2020.
The advertised vacancies are distributed across various Trade, Technician and Graduate posts. There are 17 vacancies in Trade posts among which, 9 are for Fitter, 2 are for Electrician, 1 is for Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), 1 is for PSASS/COPA and 4 are for Welder. On the other hand, there are 3 vacancies in Graduate apprentice posts among which, 2 are for Mechanical discipline and 1 is for Electrical. There is a single vacancy for Electrical discipline in the Technician apprentice post. It must be noted that candidates who have undergone apprenticeship training at IREL India Limited or any other organisation are not eligible to apply.
Candidates within the age range of 18 to 25 years are eligible to apply for the recruitment. Relaxations on the upper age limit are applicable for SC/ST candidates for upto 5 years and OBC(NCL) candidates for upto 3 years. PWD candidates can avail relaxations for up to 10 years. Candidates applying for the trade apprentice posts must have the ITI certificate in the relevant trade i.e. Fitter, Electrician, Mechanic (MV), COPA, Welder. Those who wish to apply for the posts of Graduate Apprentice, must have a B.E. degree in the relevant discipline i.e. Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics. Candidates applying for the Technician apprentice post must have Diploma in Electrical & Electronics.
Eligible candidates are to be selected on the basis of their performance in educational qualification, marks, age, etc. Merit lists are prepared on such basis and the medical fitness of the candidate as evaluated by internal evaluation of IREL India Limited. Priority will be given to local candidates and candidates of Tamil Nadu in the process of selection. Selected candidates have to appear for document verification as per their order of merit. The final appointment will be made only after candidates are declared Medically Fit by a company appointed medical officers. In addition, candidates also need to produce Police Verification Certificates.
Eligible and interested candidates are encouraged to apply for the apprenticeship engagement by registering first at the Portal of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (apprenticeshipindia.org.in) for Trade apprentices and in the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme of MHRD (mhrdnats.gov.in) for Graduate/Technician apprentices before they can proceed to apply. Candidates have to apply through Establishment Registration No. E11153300013 for Trade apprenticeship and Establishment Registration No. STNKKC000004 for Graduate/Technician apprenticeship. In addition, a hard copy of the application form is also mandatory to reach the authorities before the specified last date. The list of documents to be enclosed is indicated in the official notice.
