Indian Oil Corporation Limited has issued a latest notification for engagement of 505 Technical and Non-Technical apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Interested candidates can check out the notification and apply online at the website iocl.com as per schedule. The last date to apply online is February 26, 2021, till 05.00 PM. A written test is going to be held on March 14, 2021, for selection of applicants. Admit cards for the test are going to release tentatively on March 01, 2021, at iocl.com. The merit list of provisionally qualified candidates is to be released tentatively on March 25, 2021.
The vacancies are available under IOCL Eastern Region (MD) for various Trades and Technical disciplines in indicates states of the Eastern Region. For Technician Apprentice posts, there are 123 vacancies available in West Bengal, 40 in Bihar, 32 in Odisha, 17 in Jharkhand and 46 in Assam. On the other hand, for Trade Apprentice post, 98 vacancies are available in West Bengal, 36 in Bihar, 34 in Odisha, 24 in Jharkhand, 34 in Assam and 21 across the region for Accountant Trade.
IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2021 505 Vacancy Official Notification
IOCL is inviting suitably qualified candidates to fill up the aforementioned vacancies. Candidates within the age of 18 years to 24 years as on January 31, 2021, are eligible to apply for this recruitment. However, those who belong to SC/ST, OBC-NCL and PwBD categories can avail relaxations on the upper age limit as per government norms in vogue.
Applicants must check the notification for post-wise requirement of minimum qualification. In general, candidates holding a Diploma in relevant disciplines of Engineering are eligible to apply for the posts of Technician Apprentice. On the other hand, for the posts of Trade Apprentice, candidates must have an ITI Certificate in a relevant trade. Candidates who have passed class 12 are eligible to apply for the Trades of Data Entry Operator and Retail Sales Associate.
It may be noted that candidates holding or pursuing higher qualification such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA etc. are not considered for this recruitment. Similarly, only those who have obtained their qualification, not earlier than 3 years from January 31, 2021 are eligible. Candidates who have undergone apprentice training under Apprenticeship Act 1961/1973 or have work experience of 1 year or more are not eligible for this recruitment.
IOCL is going to conduct written test of 90 minutes duration for the selection of eligible applicants. The question paper consists of 100 MCQ type questions in English & Hindi language. Candidates can check out the marks distribution and topics for the exam in the official notification. Selected candidates are to be engaged for a training period of 12 months except for DEO (15 months) and Retail Sales Associate (14 months).
Interested candidates can apply online at the website of IOCL on or before the last date. Only online applications are accepted for this recruitment. Candidates must prepare the scanned copies of latest passport sized photograph & signature for uploading with their online applications. In addition, Trade apprentices must register at the RDAT portal i.e. apprenticeshipindia.org while Technician Apprentices must register at the BOPT portal i.e. portal.mhrdnats.gov.in before applying on the IOCL website.
