IIT Madras is going to announce the HSEE 2021 result on September 27, 2021, on its official website, iitm.ac.in. The candidates who are successful in finding the name in the IITM merit list will be called to take up admission in the MA programme.
As per the official brochure, the IIT Madras is offering MA programmes in two different streams i.e. Development Studies and English Studies. However, the candidates need to qualify for the written examination with high marks for final admission.
The authorities will prepare a common rank list for all the candidates who manage to score at least 50% marks in the HSEE 2021 exam. Along with this, a separate rank list for all the categories General, OBC, SC, ST, etc will also be prepared. In this list, only those unreserved category students will find a place who score at least 45% marks in the HSEE exam. Along with this, the SC/ST category candidates need to score at least 25% marks to find a place in their rank list.
The final admission of the candidate will be depended on their ranks in the entrance exam. However, in case there is a tie between the marks of two students then, their marks in the Essay round will be considered to break the tie. In case, the tie is unresolved, then marks of General Studies will be considered to break the tie between the two rounds. However, in the event of the tie still not being resolved, the authorities will consider the marks of Analytical abilities.
The candidates willing to take up admission in MA integrated programme need to qualify for their class 10+2 programme with minimum qualifying marks. After the final result is declared, the candidates will be asked to appear in the counselling programme. Post successful verification of documents, the candidates will be allotted courses on the basis of their rank and seat availability.
Out of the 58 seats offered by IIT Madras for the MA Integrated programme, both streams are having 29 seats each.
Once the result of IITM HSEE results are released, the candidates need to check the same by visiting the official website. On the homepage, the candidates have to find the result link of IIITM HSEE 2021. The final result is available in the form of a PDF file, they need to simply cross-check their names along with the ranks scored in the entrance exam.
