On February 7, 2019, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has released response sheet on GOAPS i.e appsgate.iitm.ac.in for the exams held on February 02 and 03, 2019. Candidates can now log in with their Enrollment ID / Email Address and Password to view their exact responses. IIT M released this GATE 2019 Response sheet with a purpose so that a candidate can crosscheck the answers, along with the official GATE 2019 answer key.
Candidates can check their response sheets and click the “Print” button to save a copy of the same. GATE 2019 response sheet serves a very important use, it records the exact responses of the computer-based test. So, that, at the time of estimating your scores using the answer keys, a candidate can estimate it with utmost accuracy of their GATE scores.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2019 has been held on February 02, 03 and will be held on 09, and 10, 2019. Candidates are required to attempt MCQs and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) of questions in a duration of 3 hours. With the help of the response sheet, a candidate can estimate their scores, out of a total of 100 marks, having attempted 65 questions.
A negative marking scheme is applicable for both one and two marker questions. -1/3 marks will be deducted in case of 1 marker question, whereas -2/3 marks will be deducted in case of 2 marker question. There will be no negative marking applicable in NATs. After IIT, Madras has released the GATE 2019 response sheet today, it is expected to also release the official answer key by the third week of February 2019.
Many other well-known coaching institutes, like MadeEasy, GATE Forum etc. release the unofficial answer key, way before the official answer keys are released. IIT M is also said to accept any objections/challenges on the GATE 2019 answer key after it has been released on the official website.
With the help of the GATE 2019 marking scheme, response sheet, and the answer key, a candidate becomes eligible to estimate their chances of clearing the exam. The GATE 2019 Result will be released on March 16, 2019. By qualifying GATE 2019, a candidate can pursue their higher studies from IITs, NITs, CFTIs and IISc. Other than that, a candidate having a valid GATE score can apply in various public and private sector undertakings for recruitment processes.
