Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, has today, January 04, 2022, announced the postponement of admit card release for IIT JAM 2022. According to the existing schedule, admit cards were supposed to release today. However, the release date has been indefinitely postponed. As of now, however, there is no change in the exam date. This implies that the IIT Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM) 2022 will be held as per schedule, on February 13, 2022. However, candidates are still wondering about the possibility of the exam date getting postponed.
IIT Roorkee had initially, invited applications for IIT JAM 2022 examination from August 25 to October 14, 2021. Interested and eligible candidates could apply for the entrance test only through the online mode. The application form was readily made available on the official portal jam.iitr.ac.in.
Candidates who successfully applied for the IIT JAM 2022 examination could download their admit cards from the official portal from today onwards. However, the official website displayed an important update regarding admit card release. According to the website,
“Date of downloading JAM 2022 Admit Cards will be announced shortly.“
It is more plausible that the IIT JAM 2022 admit cards will be released in the third or fourth week of January 2022. So that candidates will have ample time to download and print a copy of the admit cards before the exam scheduled in February 2022.
As per this IIT JAM 2022 update, admit card release has been postponed indefinitely. But there is no change in the exam date. Hence, the PG entrance exam is going to be conducted on February 13, 2022. However, there is a small possibility that the exam will be postponed to a later date. It can be a possibility that the exams are delayed if the issuance of admit cards is not done timely, several exam experts observed. Furthermore, given the rise in COVID-19 cases lately can impact the exam schedule.
The update regarding IIT JAM 2022 admit card will most likely be displayed on the homepage of the website in due course of time. So, candidates are advised to visit the official portal frequently for any important development in this regard.
IIT Roorkee is all set to conduct the IIT JAM 2022 examination this year, at selected cities across the country. The exam will be held with the intention of admitting eligible and qualified candidates to postgraduate courses in the field of technology. The test will be held in the computer-based format, expecting candidates to select the right option for each question displayed on the screen.
