Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali, Punjab is inviting applications for recruitment of Senior Project Associate and Project Associate. IISER Mohali has published an official recruitment notice in this regard at the website iisermohali.ac.in. 06 vacancies have been advertised in the aforementioned post which is to be filled up on a temporary basis. Eligible and intending candidates have to forward their applications completely filled up in the prescribed proforma along with scanned copies of supporting documents to [email protected]. As per the official recruitment notification published by IISER Mohali, the vacancies are available on a temporary basis in the Institute’s COVID-19 testing laboratory. There are 02 openings for the post of Senior Project Associate while 04 vacancies are available for the post of Project Associate. Upon final selection, candidates appointed to the post of Sr. Project Associate will be entitled to receive a monthly stipend of Rs 35000 (PhD – Thesis submitted) or Rs 47000 (PhD). On the other hand, candidates appointed to the post of Project Associate are entitled to a monthly stipend of Rs 30000.
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions before applying for recruitment to the advertised posts. Candidates within the age of 40 years and 35 years are eligible to apply for the posts of Senior Project Associate and Project Associate respectively. In order to apply for the post of Sr. Project Associate, candidates must have a Doctoral degree in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/M.VSc along with relevant experience in Molecular Biology techniques. Even candidates having MD/MS qualification and experience in the aforementioned field are also eligible to apply for this post. On the other hand, in order to apply for the post of Project Associate, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Biotechnology/Micro-Biology/Virology/M.VSc.
Candidates must note that all of the vacancies are to be filled up on a contractual basis only. The initial period of engagement will be for a maximum term of 06 months. The contract period can be further extended depending on the requirement of the Institute and the performance of the appointed candidate in the corresponding job role. Therefore, candidates cannot claim any right for permanent employment after the contract term is over.
Selection of the candidates will be done through a final interview of shortlisted applicants only.
