IIM CAT 2021 Application Form Correction Window to Open Today at iimcat.ac.in

IIM authorities have recently introduced Srinagar within Jammu & Kashmir as another centre for CAT 2021 examination.

IIM CAT 2021 Correction Facility

Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are going to open the correction window today, September 25, 2021, 10:00 am for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 examination. Candidates who have successfully submitted their online application can make changes in their forms on the official portal iimcat.ac.in. This facility will remain open up to September 27, 2021, 5:00 pm. Only details such as photograph, city and test centre preferences can be changed. Other details will remain the same and shall be considered for the admission process.

The IIM CAT 2021 examination is scheduled to be conducted on November 28, 2021, through the computer-based format. Registration process for the entrance exam was recently concluded on the official portal iimcat.ac.in. Now, starting today, candidates will receive 3 days’ time to make changes in their already submitted applications.

However, this facility to make corrections in the CAT 2021 application form is applicable only for three sections – exam city, signature and photograph.

Recently, Srinagar located in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, has been added to the list of cities for the CAT 2021 examination. Hence, the correction facility is particularly dedicated towards candidates who wish to change their exam city to Srinagar. This will make it very convenient for candidates living in and across the city in terms of commute.

Candidates living in other states/UTs who wish to change their exam cities are advised to check the available cities on the official website. All they have to do is select the particular State/UT, check the cities available and update the same in the application form.

Apart from this, aspirants who have made mistakes while uploading their signature or photograph can make the required changes. They must bear in mind to upload the documents in accordance with the dimensions and size specified by authorities. These specifications are as follows –

Photograph: passport-size, 30mm x 45 mm, JPEG/JPG format, not older than 6 months  

Signature: 80mm x 35 mm, JPG/JPEG format

How to do CAT 2021 application form correction?

While the exact process for making corrections in the IIM CAT 2021 application is not known, here are the tentative steps for a candidate’s reference –

Step 1: Visit the official website of CAT 2021 i.e., iimcat.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage of the website, click on the correction window link.

Step 3: A new page will open asking for the login credentials. Enter the credentials such as registration number, date of birth, password, etc.

Step 4: Submit the credentials to access the application form.

Step 5: Make the required changes and ensure that they are saved before logging-out.

All these formalities are to be completed on or before September 27, 2021, 5:00 pm. Beyond this, IIMs will not be entertaining any correction or exam city change requests.

Recently, IIM authorities issued a public notice inform candidates about some important points pertaining to CAT 2021. They are as follows –

# CAT 2021 registration process ended on September 22, 2021, 5:00 pm, leading to 2.31 lakh candidates successfully applying for the exam.

# The exam paper pattern will remain the same as last year – CAT 2021 will be held in three shifts of 2 hours’ duration. The paper will comprise of three sections, namely Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning.

# Candidates will get 40 minutes to solve each section. However, PwD candidates will receive 13 minutes 20 seconds more for each section.

# The exam is scheduled to be conducted across 400 centres in 159 cities on November 28, 2021. To prepare for this exam, mock tests and tutorials shall be made available on the official portal from the last week of October 2021.
