Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) had extended the last date to submit the application form to March 15, 2021. Interested and eligible candidates can access the application form on the official website i.e.,ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. They must register on the official website, fill the application form, upload the relevant documents and pay the corresponding application fee. Authorities are conducting the admission process for the upcoming academic year 2021-22. Through this process, candidates can apply for a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses in the field of arts, science and commerce.
First-time applicants interested in the IGNOU 2021 programme must first choose the available programme option present on the homepage of the website ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. After selecting the desired course from the Online Admission System, they are advised to carefully understand the eligibility criteria, fee details, duration of the course and other important information. They are also advised to download the common prospectus of the university to gather information about different courses. They may refer to sections 1, 7, 8, 9, 12 and 13 for important information.
Candidates can register for the admission process by clicking on the “NEW REGISTRATION” option which is present in the applicant login area. After this, they must fill in the necessary registration details and click on the ‘SUBMIT’ option. Candidates shall instantly receive their username via email or SMS. After successfully registering, candidates can login to the admission portal using their username and password.
The online application form requires not only filling of candidate personal information but also uploading important documents. These documents include scanned copies of recent photograph, signature, proof of age, relevant education qualification and experience certificate. They must also upload scanned copies of SC, ST, OBC certificate or BPL certificate, of applicable.
Candidates must also pay their application fee using different options provided by the authorities. These options include Credit Card (Master or VISA), Debit Card (Master, VISA or Rupay) or Net Banking. Candidates are advised to upload scanned copies of original documents rather than of photocopies. Moreover, after completing all these steps, they must click the ‘next’ option and to get a form preview. Candidates can either save or print the form for future reference.
Candidates can avail the fee exemption facility in any IGNOU admission cycle. This facility is available for SC and ST category students and shall be claimed only for one programme. If any candidate submits more than one application for claiming fee exemption, it is possible for all forms getting rejected by the authorities.
