Gujarat Technical University is inviting eligible candidates for the walk-in-interview for the vacant posts of Associate Professor, Professor and Assistant Professor. In total 24 vacancies are out for GTU recruitment. Aspirants interested in the recruitment can download the advertisement from GTU website, gtu.ac.in. Eligible and intending candidates are advised to submit their applications before September 28, 2020 through speed post/ registered post.
The conducting body has advertised the vacancies of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor for the following branches – Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Physics, Maths and English. Out of the total vacancies, 04 vacancies are out for Professor, 04 vacancies for Associate Professor and 16 vacancies for Assistant Professor.
These advertised posts are announced on a temporary basis for a contractual period. The newly appointed Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor are recruited for a short period of 11 months for Gujarat Power Engineering and Research Institute, Mehsana which is a constituent college of GTU.
Those who intend to apply for professor post should possess PhD degree in the relevant field and a minimum 10 years of the experience in teaching/ research/ industry as Associate Professor. They shall also possess 06 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI Journals. Candidates with a PhD degree in the relevant field and total of 06 research publications in SCI journals can apply for Associate Professor post. Such candidates also have minimum 08 years of teaching/ research/ industry. To apply for Assistant Professor, candidates should have BE/ B. Tech/ BS and ME/ M Tech/ MS or integrated M. Tech. Those who are applying for Assistant Professor (general) must have a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks.
Eligible candidates can access the application form by visiting the official website, gtu.ac.in. In case aspirants wish to apply for more than one post, then they have to submit a separate form for each post. Once the application form is filled, candidates are advised to take a print out of the same and sent it with a photograph, self-attested copies of educational qualification certificates and mark sheet, caste, disability, experience certificate, all documents created to academic performance indicators, endorsement from the current employer, etc.
The form should be submitted to the ‘Registrar (Establishment Department), Gujarat Technological University, Nr. Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Visat Three Roads, Sabarmati – Koba Highway Chandkheda, Ahmedabad – 382424’. While submitting the form, candidates have to ensure that they clearly mention the name of the post they have applied for at the top of the sealed envelope.
After the scrutiny of the application, a list of candidates shortlisted for interview gets uploaded on the GTU website. As of now, the interview is not yet disclosed by the conducting body. Eligible candidates are invited for the interview where they have to carry all the relevant document with them. They must report at least 30 minutes before the reporting time.
