General Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh is going to conduct walk-in-interviews on January 21, 2021 to fill up 13 contractual vacancies. GMCH Chandigarh Recruitment 2021 Sr. Resident & Other Post Detailed Advertisement
Candidates appointed to the Sr. Resident and CMO posts are to be paid monthly salary of Rs 67700 (minimum pay 1st Cell of Level-11) in addition to NPA at 20%. For the Emergency Medical Officer and Medical Officer posts, the scale of pay is Rs 56100-177500 and other applicable allowances. Selected candidates are to be appointed for a period of 6 months from the date of joining.
Applicants must fulfil the minimum conditions specified in terms of the educational qualifications and experience. For Senior Resident and CMO posts, candidates must have a PG medical degree such as MD/MS/DM/M.Ch/DNB in the concerned discipline/specialization. For the Medical Officer and Emergency Medical Officer posts, applicants must have an MBBS degree although PG degree holders are to be preferred during selection. Such applicants must also have completed their internship by December 31, 2020.
GMCH Chandigarh has also specified the maximum age of the applicants. Candidates intending to apply for recruitment to the posts of Senior Resident and CMO (GM/GS) must be within the age of 37 years. Those who have complete post doctoral degrees can apply till the age of 40 years. For the EMO and MO posts, the upper age limit is 37 years for MBBS and PG degree holders. Candidates can refer to the official notification for information about relaxations on the upper age limit.
Selection of the eligible candidates is to be done through the walk-in-interviews scheduled to be conducted at the Office of the Director Principal of the Medical College and Hospital. Applications must be filled up in the prescribed proforma only.
Eligible candidates have to report to the interview venue along with the duly filled up application form and original documents. Candidates must not forget to carry photocopies of all documents, recent passport-sized photographs. A non-refundable fee of Rs 500 must be paid through Demand Draft, payable at Chandigarh. Candidates may note that no TA/DA is to be paid for attending the interviews.
