GITAM GAT 2021 to be held as Online Remote Proctored Exam; No Slot Booking, Admit Card

Candidates will not be needing to book any slot or download admit card for GAT 2021. The online proctored exam can be taken from laptop, or desktop or mobile phone / tablet.

GITAM Deemed to be a university will conduct GITAM GAT 2021 exam in phase 1 as a take from home test from May 22 to 26, 2021. Generally, the candidates are allowed to book slots for the exam at their convenience. However, no separate slot booking process will be arranged this year. Instead, login credentials for the exam will be sent to the registered candidates before the exam. Using which, candidates can login any time they are comfortable from 9.00 AM – 4.00 PM during May 22 to 26, and give the test.

On getting in touch with GITAM, it was officially informed that ” the exam slot is not required. The login credentials will be sent to the candidate’s registered email id and mobile number one day before the exam schedule and the candidates can appear for the test via laptop / mobile from their homes anytime between 9.00 AM – 4.00 PM from 22 – 26 May 2021.”

Therefore the admit card will also be not released this time for the GITAM Admission Test or the GITAM Aptitude Test (GAT). All that the registered candidates have to do is keep track of their registered contact details for the online exam login credentials.

Once they get the credentials, they need to use it to login from May 22 to 26, anytime between 9.00 AM – 4.00 PM. The portal for the test is cocubes.in/gat2021. Here the candidates have to enter the login details sent to start the exam. The login details are Application No, password, and a passkey.

To appear for the test, the candidates need the latest version of Google Chrome, a functioning webcam, a functioning microphone, and an internet connection of 1 MBPS speed. The candidates will be under constant observation during the exam via artificial intelligence and live monitoring by the proctors.

To appear for the test through mobile phone, candidates have to download CoCubes Assessment app first.

The candidates must also disable Antivirus, Screensavers, Ads, Notifications from the laptop. Disable Truecaller, Whatsapp, Instagram, and other notifications during the exam, if appearing from the mobile app. Note that the mobile app does not work on Apple devices.

The candidates can use blank sheets for rough work during the exam. During the exam students are not allowed to leave the screen

GITAM GAT is conducted every year to offer admission in various UG and PG courses. The courses that are offered through it are B.Arch, M.Arch, B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, BBA LLB, BA LLB, LLM, etc. The test comprises multiple-choice questions. For every course, the duration of the exam and number of questions are different. The candidates who qualify in the entrance test are granted admission to Visakhapatnam / Hyderabad / Bengaluru campuses.
