Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur introduced two new papers under the ambit of GATE 2022 – 1. Geomatics Engineering (GE) and 2. Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (NM). Exam for NM Paper was successfully conducted today, February 06, 2022, at selected centers across the country. Candidates who registered for the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) 2022 NM examination were given 3 hours time to attempt and finish the entire paper.
The GATE 2022 NM paper was conducted during the forenoon shift, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. This means that the exam is over and candidates are free to check their responses using the unofficial answers keys uploaded online.

An important thing to note is that most YouTube channels mentioned above have uploaded their answers keys in the form of live streams. During these live streams, the subject expert has discussed the paper, its level of difficulty and the right option for each question. Candidates can jot down these right options in a sequential manner before calculating the tentative score.
Today’s NM paper was conducted for a duration of three hours, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. During this period, candidates had to attempt and finish a 100-mark paper. Out of the total 100 marks, 15 marks were assigned to General Aptitude (GA) and the remaining 85 marks were dedicated to the NM syllabus. A candidate was expected to identify the right option and mark the same on their computer-screen. IIT Kharagpur is expected to release the official answer key by the third week of March 2022 on the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in.
