GATE 2019 Form Correction Window Now Open At GOAPS; Mistakes To Be Notified Via Email/SMS

GATE 2019 Application Form Correction Window is now open at GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). Candidates who have submitted their application forms and if have committed some errors will be given a chance to rectify them. The authorities will send email/SMS notification regarding the error. Candidates will then have to log in at GOAPS using their Enrollment ID and password and correct the mistake.

Until October 01, 2018 candidates will be able to make corrections in their Name, date of birth, Details of Parents /Guardian /Correspondence address, College name and location, Roll No., Registration No., and Exam Paper. The other fields like Gender, Category, PwD Status, Dyslexia and other similar learning disabilities status can also be changed. The dates for which will be announced later on.

Thus, the correction window is seen to be available in slots. In the first slot starting from September 25 to October 01, 2018, candidates can make the correction in Name, date of birth, Details of Parents /Guardian /Correspondence address, College name and location, Roll No., Registration No., and Exam Paper only.

Not all candidates have to participate in GATE 2019 application form correction. Only those candidates who will be notified of any error will be able to change the fields that contain error under their GATE 2019 login.

Meanwhile, the registration is going on for GATE 2019 with a late fee of Rs. 500/-. The last date to apply with the late fee amount is October 01. 2018.

The candidates will not get a second chance to correct any mistake again. Thus, any correction that will be made in the form correction window of GATE 2019 will be the final one and will be used during the admission process.

In addition to correction, a certain amount of correction charge will be charged by the GATE 2019 authorities, not for every field of change, but in some of them like in changing the gender and category.

Changing the gender from male to female is free of charge, however, vice versa will have charge of Rs, 750/-. Changing the gender caste from SC/ST to General/OBc will have a charge of Rs. 750/- too. While the vice versa is free of any charges.

Now, once the application form process completes on October 01, 2018, the application form correction window will go on. The last date until which the corrections will go on is yet unannounced. However, on January 04, 2019 candidates will be able to download the admit card to appear in the GATE 2019 exam. the examination will be held for 24 papers and in online mode only. The admit cards will be also available in the online mode only, no candidates will be getting the admit card via post.
