IIT-M Announces GATE 2019 Exam Dates; Registration to Begin from September 01

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has launched the official website of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2019. It has been launched today, on July 06, and with it, the conducting body has also announced all the important dates and details of the examination. This year, GATE 2019 will be held on February 02, 03, 09, and 10, 2019. The exam will be held in two sessions, which will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and 2:00 m to 5:00 pm. The mode of GATE 2019 will be computer based.

All the Important DAtes for GATE 2019

All the important dates for GATE 2019 has also been announced in the information brochure. The application forms for the exam are releasing on September 01, 2018. The last date to apply for the exam is September 21, 2018. The extended closing date for GATE 2019 is October 01, 2018.

IIT-M has commenced GATE very efficiently. It has also revealed the last date for requesting the change of exam city and it is November 16, 2018. The admit card of the examination will release on January 04, 2019. Even the dates for result available are mentioned on the portal and it is March 16, 2019.

One more subject added in GATE 2019

This year, another subject paper has been added in GATE. Instead of 23 subjects, now the exam will be held in 24 subject papers. The new addition is Statistics and the code for it ST. Candidates can choose any subject paper to apply for the examination. However, they can only appear for GATE 2019 in one subject paper.

Only Eligible Candidates Allowed to Apply for GATE 2019

IIT Madras has clearly mentioned that only the eligible candidates should appear for GATE 2019. The criteria of eligibility state that there is no age limit in GATE but the candidates must fulfil the below mentioned education qualification.

GATE 2019 GOAPS and Fee Structure

The application form of GATE 2019 will be released at GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). To register, the candidates will have to enter basic details like name, e-mail, phone number, etc. Then, the candidates will be able to fill in the application form. The application fee for GATE 2019 is Rs. 750 for SC, ST, PwD, Female candidates. The fee for remaining candidates is Rs. 1500.

After the lapse of the deadline, the late fee charges will be applicable. Then the amount of application fee SC, ST, PwD, Female candidates will be Rs. 1250 and that for UR candidates will be Rs. 2000.

GATE 2019 to be held Abroad!

IITMadras will conduct the examination in the all around India and abroad. The international centers for GATE will be in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Dubai (UAE), Kathmandu (Nepal), Singapore. As per the official notification, in India, the exam will be held across the nation and are as follows:
