GAIL (India) Limited, through its recent recruitment notification, has announced various vacancies to be filled by young graduate engineers, using the GATE-2022 scores. The notification is available at the official website i.e gailonline.com. A total of three Executive Trainee posts under Instrumentation, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines are available. Each post has four categories: B, C, D and E for candidates belonging to the PwBD categories. Although the category-wise vacancies under each discipline are not available right now and will be notified later.
Candidates who wish to apply for the post of Executive Trainees under any of the three disciplines will first have to register and then appear for GATE-2022. Then, based on the GATE-2022 scores, GAIL will shortlist candidates for group discussion and/or personal interviews. Please note that the GATE-2022 online application process has already begun on August 30, 2021, and the last date for the same is September 24, 2021. Similarly, the last date for submitting the applications via gailonline.com is March 16, 2022. Candidates who have an engineering degree in any other branch other than the mentioned disciplines will not be eligible to apply. Also, a candidate can apply for only one post/discipline.
In terms of essential qualifications, candidates willing to apply for the post of Executive Trainee (Instrumentation) must have a bachelor degree in engineering in instrumentation or other related disciplines with a minimum 65% marks. Similarly, for the post of Executive Trainee (Mechanical), eligible candidates must have a bachelor degree in engineering or technology in mechanical or related disciplines with a minimum 65% marks. For the post of Executive Trainee (Electrical), the essential qualification is a bachelor degree in engineering in electrical or electrical and electronics with a minimum 65% marks. Candidates belonging to the SC, ST and PwBD categories, get relaxation and they should score a minimum of 60% marks.
In all disciplines, the upper age limit has been set as 26 years as of March 16, 2022. But, SC/ST category candidates will get a relaxation of 05 years while the OBC (NCL) ones will get 03 years age relaxation. The appointment of the candidates will also be based on the medical fitness requirements as prescribed by GAIL.
Candidates who will get selected through this recruitment will receive basic pay as applicable in accordance with the grade. Additionally, they will get other benefits such as company accommodation or leased accommodation or HRA, group insurance, medical facility, etc. However, during the probation and training period, they are likely to be posted at any installations, offices or projects of GAIL.
