The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) notifies that it will hold physical endurance test for the post of fire operator post code 18/19, only for males, from January 6, 2020. From this date onwards the PET process will be held at East Vinod Nagar Sports Complex Mayur Vihar, Phase-II near Neelam Mata Mandir, Delhi.
Then from February 3, 2020, the process, physical tests will be carried at Chhattrasal Stadium Model Town Delhi and East Vinod Nagar Sports Complex Mayur Vihar, Phase-II near Neelam Mata Mandir, Delhi.
As of now only these two dates have been announced in relation to the fire operator vacancy. Further details like roll number wise schedule of downloading the admit card will be available on the official website dsssb.delhi.gov.in. The board has advised candidates who have applied for the recruitment, to check the website dsssb.delhi.gov.in regularly for updates regarding the exam.
The verbatim text of the notification says the following.
“The Physical Endurance Test of Post of Fire Operator (Only for Male) (Post Code 18/19) is scheduled to be held from 06.01.2020 onwards at East Vinod Nagar Sports Complex Mayur Vihar, Phase-II near Neelam Mata Mandir, Delhi and from 03.02.2020 onwards both at Chhattrasal Stadium Model Town Delhi and East Vinod Nagar Sports Complex Mayur Vihar, Phase-II near Neelam Mata Mandir, Delhi.”
It goes on to say “Roll number wise schedule of E-admit cards for the above mentioned post code will be uploaded on the website of DSSSB i.e. http ://dsssb.delhi.gov.in in due course. Candidates are advised to visit the website of the Board regularly for further information and detailed instructions.”
DSSSB fire operator recruitment was published vide advertisement number 04/19 on September 24, 2019. The opening date of applications was October 7, 2019, and the closing date was November 6, 2019. This recruitment has a total of 706 vacancies. This includes 190 UR vacancies, 115 for OBC, 309 for SC, 71 for ST, and 21 for EWS. This position is in pay scale of Rs 5200-20200 plus grade pay Rs 2000 Group C.
Candidates with a class 10th pass qualification were invited to apply. It may be noted that candidates are required to be at least 165 cms tall, weighs 50 kgs, have a 81 cm minimum chest and with expansion it should be 86.5 cms, eye sight should be 6/6. Candidates wearing glasses or having squit eyes or color blindness, with flat knee, , deformity of any limb or extra limb will be disqualified.
The upcoming physical endurance test will involve long jump, high jump, and an 800 metres run. Candidates will be graded based on their performance score points. Candidate shave to qualify each of the events individually and also get 33% in aggregate in order to be declared as passed.
Final merit list for this exam will be on the basis of total percentage of marks obtained by the candidate the three criterios set by DSSSB, that are physical endurance test, driving test, and written test.
